A cool, flat surface for warm days — simple, breathable, and genuinely comfortable to lie on.
When it's warm and your pet just wants somewhere cool to stretch out, the PoshPup ChillTail™ does exactly that. A woven rattan surface sits inside a padded PP cotton bolster border — the rattan lets air circulate underneath so the surface stays cooler than solid fabric. An anti-slip base keeps it in place on hard floors. Light enough to move room to room, or pack for a trip.
Rattan cooling surface
Woven rattan allows airflow from beneath, keeping the lying surface noticeably cooler than solid fabric mats. The open weave also means no heat is trapped under your pet's body during warmer months.
Padded bolster border
PP cotton-filled raised border runs around all four sides, giving a defined edge for pets to rest a chin or paw against. It also protects the rattan panel edges and keeps the mat's shape over time.
Anti-slip base
Textured base grips hard floors and tiles and stays put even when pets jump on and off. Suitable for wood, tile, and laminate — the mat will not skid across the room during enthusiastic arrivals.

Honest notes
This is a cooling mat, not a plush cushion. The rattan surface is firm and open-weave. It works best for pets that like to sprawl on cool, hard surfaces. If your pet prefers a deep soft bed, this is not the right choice.
Passive cooling only. The rattan circulates air — there is no gel or active cooling element. The surface will feel noticeably cooler than fabric but is not a temperature-regulating product.
Cleaning: Wipe the rattan surface with a damp cloth. The cotton border is not designed to be removed or machine washed. Avoid soaking the rattan panel.

What size should I choose?
The small (40x30cm) suits cats and toy breeds. The large (50x40cm) suits cats and small to medium dogs up to around 10kg. If your pet likes to fully stretch out, size up.
Is this actually cooling or just a mat?
The rattan weave allows air to circulate under your pet, which keeps the surface cooler than solid fabric. It is a passive cooling mat — there is no gel or active cooling element inside.
Is it suitable for dogs as well as cats?
Yes — both cats and small dogs use it well. The small size suits cats and toy breeds; the large suits cats and small to medium dogs. It is not suitable for large or heavy breeds that would overhang the edges.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the rattan surface with a damp cloth and allow to air dry. The cotton bolster border can be spot cleaned. The rattan panel is not removable and should not be soaked or machine washed.
