Description

Explore Scientific 8x50 Illuminated Right Angle Polar Finder Scope with Illuminator IIAn 8x50 right angle finder scope with an erect image eyepiece, dual hemisphere polar alignment reticle, and variable brightness red LED illumination built for precise polar alignment on German equatorial mounts without the neck strain of a straight through polar scope. The 90 eyepiece lets you look down into the finder instead of crouching behind the mount, and the erect image means what you see matches whats in the sky no mirror reversed confusion.

An 8x50 right-angle finder scope with an erect-image eyepiece, dual-hemisphere polar alignment reticle, and variable-brightness red LED illumination — built for precise polar alignment on German equatorial mounts without the neck strain of a straight-through polar scope.

The 90° eyepiece lets you look down into the finder instead of crouching behind the mount, and the erect image means what you see matches what’s in the sky — no mirror-reversed confusion. The precision-etched reticle includes star patterns for both hemispheres: a triangular asterism around Polaris for the north, and a polygon pattern around Sigma Octantis for the south. Match the pattern to the stars, center the pole star, and you’re aligned.

Dual-focus adjustment lets you sharpen the objective and eyepiece reticle independently — critical for getting both the stars and the alignment pattern crisp at the same time. The Illuminator II uses standard AAA batteries for significantly longer runtime than coin-cell illuminators. The 7° field of view is wide enough to acquire alignment stars quickly.

Mounts on any Explore Scientific finder base (standard, T-shaped, or Hybrid).

  • 8x50 optics with 7° field of view
  • 90° erect-image eyepiece — comfortable, intuitive viewing

Great fragrance
Scent: Original Citrus + Eucalyptus
Took a chance and ordered this cologne for my husband without smelling it first. We both liked it (It's all used up- gotta order more:-) A light fragrance that lasts all day.

Very pretty edition of a beloved classic
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
This is a beautiful edition. Very well made and aesthetically pleasing. It's small enough and light and pliant enough for very comfortable reading. The text block is made with good quality paper that is thick enough and not glossy. The gilding is a nice touch. The only flaw was that the gilding on mine was scuffed and scratched off in some places. Overall, I'm super happy with it.

Too expensive for what you get
Format: Hardcover
This book is pretty. I'm a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice, and I have many copies of it. This one is smaller than I thought it would be for the price. I don't think I would have ordered it if I had held it. Just too expensive for its size. Also not as pretty as others I've gotten for less.

A Beautiful Copy of the Classic(... and a little oops!)
Format: Hardcover
This is a beautiful copy of Jane Austen's classic! The cover art, the design, and gold-edging for the pages all come together to make for a lovely book perfect for display. Better yet: it's perfect for reading too. A lot of fancy printings of classics result in something that's nice to look at but not especially comfortable to read, whether it's the stiffness of the spine, the material of the pages, etc. This one manages to take both aesthetics and practicality into account, so bravo! The one drawback, thus resulting in the star knocked off my rating, is that the title on the spine is upside down. It's a little thing, but I'll have to shelve it wrong side-up or it will drive me bonkers.
