The WA-CX12 cuts no corners in achieving a highly accurate sound profile of the original, known for its organic tones and elevated room sounds. True Sound, No-Compromise Components

The WA-CX12 sound profile is known for capturing the real sound of a performance. Designed to provide clarity in the midrange and smooth out any high end harshness, the WA-CX12 delivers professional solo vocals, intricate piano performances, and epic, natural room sounds. Like the original, the WA-CX12 tone is mostly flat until a slight dip at 2kHz with a gradual boost between 5-10kHz.

Unlike later nylon iterations of this capsule, the WA-CX12 faithfully replicates the clear open top end of the original all-brass CK12 capsule.

The WA-CX12 uses a premium 12AY7 vacuum tube to complement the CK12-style capsule for added warmth and clarity without harsh high end.

The custom USA-made AMI  transformer drives the full natural sound captured by the capsule delivering that renowned Austrian sound.

The all-brass CK12-style capsule provides the performance of the vintage original, by smoothing out the top-end and delivering a pleasing, natural tone to the transformer. Unlike later nylon iterations of this capsule, the WA-CX12 faithfully replicates the clear open top end of the original all-brass CK12 capsule.

AMI USA-MADE Output Transformer

The history of TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) transformers goes all the way back to the founding of the most sought-after German analog audio innovations. The TAB (AMI) transformer in the WA-CX12 is American-made with large-core German laminations and built to exacting standards as designed by Oliver Archut. The custom transformer drives the full natural sound captured by the capsule delivering that renowned Austrian sound.

Premium Tubes, Capacitors, & Boards

The WA-CX12 uses a premium 12AY7 vacuum tube that adds warmth and depth to the microphone’s signal. Like all Warm Audio products, we use premium capacitors in the circuit for ideal signal transfer. The PCB board in the WA-CX12 does not have solder masks which allows for the lowest noise floor possible, preventing crosstalk from added capacitance.

First, I think Belle is a great writer. There was a lot of effort put into making this a very readable book. I also think that what happened to her really was terrible. Her husband 100% was wrong in what he did to her with the affair and his disappearance. Ultimately, her marriage prior to the betrayal seemed very superficial. She acknowledges that she chose the comforts of wealth over a close relationship. She had a part time husband/father and honestly it's not surprising that he left. He was barely there to begin. Her absolute terror in imagining that she would drop down from the top 0.1% down to around the top 1% was not the compelling tragedy that she seems to think it is. Her bemoaning of the loss of ultra luxuries tended to diminish the emotional toll of her plight. The book is laced through with the eventual end that her husband is going to take his assets and half of hers, but it never happens. I think she wants to relate the uncertainty and fear that she had, but it comes off as fake panic. In the end, it's a sad story, but it was very predictable. It's a story about a woman who outsourced her responsibilities, who doesn't know how to operate without extreme wealth, and who shudders at the prospect of having to work a job. It was a short book, but 3 times longer than necessary.
