The Eureka Red Peacock Cichlid (Aulonocara jacobfreibergi), also called the Eureka Red Jake or African Butterfly Peacock, is one of the most stunning Peacock Cichlids available to aquarists. Known for its fiery red coloration, shimmering blue highlights, and peaceful temperament compared to other African cichlids, the Eureka Red Peacock is a must-have centerpiece fish for Lake Malawi setups.

Originating from Lake Malawi in Africa, the Aulonocara jacobfreibergi species is a popular member of the Peacock Cichlid group. Selective breeding has intensified the rich red, orange, and blue hues of the Eureka Peacock Cichlid, making it one of the most vibrant varieties in the hobby. Their combination of manageable size, brilliant colors, and calmer disposition makes them suitable for both intermediate and advanced aquarists.

The Eureka Red Cichlid grows to about 5–6 inches (12–15 cm), with males showcasing the brightest colors. Their body features a glowing red-orange base with metallic blue across the face, fins, and shoulders, giving them a striking, flame-like appearance. Females are generally smaller and display more subtle coloration, making the males the true showstoppers in the tank.

Unlike many African cichlids, the Eureka Red Peacock Cichlid is relatively peaceful. They can be kept with other Peacock Cichlids (Aulonocara species), Haps, and Mbuna of similar size and temperament. To minimize aggression, provide a spacious tank with plenty of rocks and caves to establish territories. Ideal tankmates include other non-aggressive Malawi cichlids that share similar water parameters.

At Splashy Fish tropical fish store, our Eureka Red Peacock for sale and other Peacock Cichlids for sale are tank-raised, healthy, and carefully selected for vivid coloration and optimal size. Great Practice Questions!
Format: Paperback
I mostly used this book for the practice questions, which aligned with all the topics we discussed in class. This book was organized in a way that made sense and followed my professor’s syllabus. Definitely worth the investment if you want to practice essay questions for torts!

Poorly written, but possibly best of all the garbage available today.
Format: Paperback
E&E's (including torts) are of questionable value except as an introduction to ideas and terms. The actual examples and explanations are at times self-contradictory, especially regarding the certainty of the authors in how a court would rule. I would not recommend these books to anyone going to law school if there were something better available. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with anything better at this point. Read the whole first-year series before law school if you can't find a better series.

I don't understand the Hype.
Format: Paperback
Everyone seems to love Glannon but I found other E&Es to me much straightforward and easy to understand. Don't know what it is about Glannon's writing. Not terrible, just not conducive to me for whatever reason. Negligence sections were lacking.
