Each 7 gm dose contains min 1,000 IU vitamin E.
Directions: Feed daily at rate of 100-500 IU per 100 lbs body weight. Feeding level depends on type of horse, level of activity, and nutritional and management practices that affect vitamin E needs. Top-dress onto daily grain; Maintenance - 1 scoop; Stalled horses/Poor pasture - 1-2 scoops; Intense training - 3-5 scoops; Pregnant and lactating mares/Foals/Stallions - 3 scoops. 7 gm scoop enclosed.
Vitamin E is an essential nutrient for horses:
Vitamin E cannot be synthesized by the horse; therefore, it is considered an essential nutrient. The best source of vitamin E is fresh green grass; however, the potency of vitamin E declines very quickly once forages are harvested and dried.
Vitamin E requirements vary from situation to situation. Multiple research studies have shown that vitamin E is often deficient in the diets of horses that do not have access to continual grazing on fresh green grass, or those grazing on winter pasture. Performance horses with demanding workloads, growing horses and seniors can be exposed to increased levels of oxidative stress and therefore require higher levels of vitamin E in their diets. Studies reveal that horses challenged by neurological disease benefit from supportive natural vitamin E.
Elevate Maintenance Powder supplies a horse with a highly absorbable and readily available source of natural vitamin E that quickly provides necessary nutrients. Amazing mat!
Love it! The texture is nice and smooth, and it didn't take much fighting to get it to lay flat. I appreciate the double-sided nature with a different color on either side-- I end up using the white side more because it helps me see the colors of the polish against the nail better. I recommend making sure the holes on the strap are open before using it just to save yourself the time of fighting with the snap to push it through.
