Shaky Bridge Wines is located in the stunningly beautiful Alexandra Basin of Central Otago, New Zealand. Our location situated below the Southern 45th Parallel is the southern most winegrowing region on the globe. Our location is ideally suited to the creation of complex and floral Pinot Noir with character that offers both concentration of flavour and precision from the acidity. All sourced from our estate vineyards and sustainably farmed, Shaky Bridge is family-owned and one of the original pioneer grape growers of Central Otago with beginnings back in 1973.
Ripe hand-harvested Pinot Noir grapes are gentlly crushed and destemmed into a stainless steel vessel. Gently extracted primarily by pump-over to preserve its delicate aromatics and polished fine-grained tannin. Gently pressed, and aged in all french-oak barrels with 1/3 new. A selection of the best barrels for the final blend to ensure a pinnacle expression of the vintage and this 'Grand Cru' site.
