The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. This snaffle bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a "more mobile" bit in their mouth. sub-optimal design
Size is a bit too small for anything bigger than an average bar of soap, so the soap doesn't move around enough to make good suds. the inside is also too textured, and the soap sticks to the inside of the pouch. good quality and sturdy stitching however.
