Cherry Audio 에서 Quadra 라는 소프트신스를 발표하였습니다. 

제작사에서 이 소프트신스를 설명하기를 "spiced-up ARP Quadra Synthesizer emulation plugin" 이라고 표현을 했습니다.

즉, 전설의 ARP Quadra 신디사이져를 로 만들어서 더 많은 신디사이징과 복잡한 기능들을 제공한다는 컨셉입니다.

ARP 의 전설적인 “unicorn” analog multi-Synthesizer 를 full MIDI 로 지원하고 확장된 기능을 추가했다는 것입니다. 

 

실제 ARP Quadra 신디사이져 (1978 년 생산)

: 오리지널 악기는 61-keys analog Synthesizer 이었으며, 하나의 악기에 multiple “engine” 을 사용하는 악기였습니다.  

 기존 ARP 의 신스들인 Omni, Odyssey, a Solina-esque string Synthesizer 의 기능들을 모두 혼합하여 만든 괴물 신스였습니다.

 

이 신스는 24dB lowpass filter, phaser unit 를 지원하며 4개의 섹션으로 나누어서 사용할 수 있습니다.

Cherry Audio 의 emulation concept 은 회로도에 따른 사운드를 정밀하게 에뮬레이션하고 거기에 좀 더 확장된 기능을 추가하는 방식입니다. 

그래서 paraphonic polysynth section 에서는 기존 악기를 더욱 업그레이드 하여 new waveforms, additional octave, optional oscillator drift, velocity control, 그리고 new modulation options (PWM…) 등을 모두 적용하여 기능을 확장 하였습니다.

 

거기에 현대적인 기능을 붙여 new powerful arpeggiator, adjustable note priority 등등을 지원하며  LFO design, multi-wave, syncable LFO 과  더불어 powerful modulator 까지 더하여 굉장히 파워풀한 기능과 성능을 가지게 되었습니다.

 

이펙터 단은 강력한 14-stage phaser 를 비롯하여 chorus/flanger, echo, reverb 등을 충실하게 탑재하고 있습니다.

450 presets 탑재 programmed by professional sound designers (Julie Kathryn, Huston Singletary, Katharine Fountain…). 

Full MIDI 지원과 모든 파라메터에 대한 DAW automation 까지 모든 제공됩니다.

Works as intended, but is badly designed

This air purifier is great so far. I've only had it set up for about a day, but it seems to me that the air is cleaner so far. I got it for my office, mostly to make sure that there's less dust in the air because my allergies have been going crazy recently. The downside of this product is that the manual is just completely wrong. Both the manual + the box say to turn the bottom lid counterclockwise to open. However, I tried that and literally could not open it for the life of me. When I looked closer, I saw that there were pins holding the lid in place, and that the only place they could move was to the right - which meant turning the lid clockwise, not counter-clockwise. That wasted 15 minutes of my time trying to figure out, because clockwise didn't work either until I wiggled it. Likely the plastic surrounding the air filter was caught in the lid. Like another reviewer mentioned, the bottom lid where the filter goes doesn't really stay on tight, which is annoying. It took me a few tries to be able to put it down without the lid coming loose and the filter falling out. It's light in weight but very loud, at least when it comes to being on high (full blast). Medium is tolerable, low is preferable for whenever I'm meeting with a client. Sometimes I even turn it all the way off. It was maybe worth the price? We'll see if it helps my allergies.

You will want several. I use mine attached to the side of my large metal toolbox to make my frequently used tools easily accessible. But once connected to a large metal surface, it is very difficult to reposition which is a good thing. One surprise though, narrow shafted screws drivers don’t attach very strongly unlike other heavier tools with larger steel mounting areas for attachment. I am purchasing more for other areas in my workshop.
