This is a beautiful 1849 map of Maine by Samuel Augustus Mitchell. It covers the entire state of Maine from the New Hampshire border to Passamaquoddy Bay, and northwards as far as the St. John's River. In the upper right quadrant an inset offers population data in tabular format. The whole is engraved and colored in Mitchell's distinctive style with green border work and vivid pastels. Political and topographical features are noted and color coded with elevation rendered by hachure.

After Maine became a state, carved out of Massachusetts in 1820, the northern boundary was disputed between the U.S. and Canada. The King of the Netherlands was appointed arbiter and settled the dispute with a new border of his own imagining. The first edition of this map issued in 1846, shortly after the 1842 treaty established the new Maine-Canada border – hence the map's title, 'A New Map of Maine.' This map shows several borders, including the post-Revolutionary War border of 1783, the line proposed by the King of the Netherlands, and, ceding slightly more land to Canada, the final 1842 boundary.

Mitchell published this chart in his atlas from 1846 to the late 1850s before discontinuing the series and selling his map plates to DeSilver. This map was issued in the 1849 edition of the New Universal Atlas. It was the last edition of that atlas to be published by Mitchell prior to selling the plates and rights to the atlas to Thomas Cowperthwait in 1850.

Nice shirt.
Size: 17.5" Neck 35"-36" Sleeve, Color: White
It fit perfectly and looked very nice. However, it was much thinner than I thought. And when you wash it, get ready to iron it. This is not a permanent press shirt. It is not wrinkle resistant. I would not buy it again.

Casual Crew Neck Summer Shirt
Color: Denim Blue, Size: XX-Large
Ordered the dark blue. It fits great and looks wonderful on. Very comfortable! Good value, and feels well made. The fabric is just right – not too thin, or thick. I wore it with a navy blazer and beige pants to an outdoor event (shade and sun) and was totally comfortable.

Nice shirt!
Color: Black, Size: Large
When I lost weight and hit my goal I wanted to purchase new clothing. I discovered Coofandy on Amazon and could not be happier. This line of clothing is great. I have purchased a handful of shirts and shorts and liked all of them. This shirt fits well, I tried a medium initially and it was a bit too small so I moved up to a Large. Prior to my weight loss I was always an X-large. Shirt looks nice and fits great. I have this shirt in 3 colors now.

Great shirt, a bit large in arms
Color: A - Moon Gray, Size: Medium
I really like the cut and texture of the shirt. The only thing I would say is it is loose in the arms unless you’re a body builder. My arms are toned, muscular, but more lean than thick, so if you like a snug sleeve this is probably not for you. I’m 5’9” 180bs for reference and wear a medium.
