These natural live edge premium hardwood narrow rustic display shelves can also be used as a floating bookshelf or floating mantel. Stunning and unique golden brown coloration accentuating natural lighter blonde grain. If you're looking for something richer in color than maple, but not as dark as walnut, this stunning species is for you!

Mostly these will have a live edge with a varying depth of around 6" - 9". They all have their own beautiful and unique character, and will always be created from kiln dried chestnut. Some will have curl, knots, and/or spalting, and no two will look exactly the same. If you order multiple shelves in one order, we will create them from the same slab or same log so they look similar and complement each other.

These narrower wood shelves are custom, handcrafted, and made-to-order. The images are just examples of ones we've done to help you visualize the finished piece. We understand the importance of seeing your final product. We will send you images of your finished shelf/shelves prior to packaging and shipping.

HOW IT WORKS:
- Any piece will be approximately 6" - 9" deep. If you need a certain consistent depth, or minimum and maximum, within that range, please leave a note at checkout.
- Any piece will be a thickness of 1.75" - 2".
- Choose a length from 12" (1 foot) to 96" (8 feet).

- Voids filled with soft black epoxy.
- Protected with low VOC, non-toxic tung oil-based sealer and urethane for a silky smooth matte/satin finish. Long lasting and easy to maintain!

- Brackets included, if you choose: 
* If you do not need any bracket option, please choose that option in the drop.
➡️ If you need floating shelf brackets provided, you can choose from individual brackets or a more user-friendly bracket system with a backplate to help you hit as many studs as possible.
    * Individual brackets:
            - Support 30 pounds of weight per stud they're attached to.
            - Holes drilled in the back are 16" from each other evenly down the back of the shelf to encourage hitting studs.
            - If you need different spacing on the back of the shelves to ensure you hit as many studs as possible, enter these measurements in the personalization box and note where they need to be either from the left or right side of the SHELF, not where your studs land on the wall.
    * Backplate brackets:
            - Support 45 pounds of weight per stud they're attached to. 
            - Back of shelf is routered to allow the backplate to sit in.
            - Rod holes are drilled 12" from each other.
            - Holes for fasteners are all along the backplate to help you hit studs or use                  as many drywall plugs/mollies as you want.
