Description

Sister’s Run Cow Corner Barossa GSM 2021 (Australia)"Attractive aromas of dark berries and plums, some milk chocolate and gentle peppery spices, black currant and dark roses. On the palate youthful, firm, dry and generous with a core of dark berries and plums, currants and sweet spices of oak. An abundance of ripe, firmish tannins and medium+ acidity laced with sweet of barrel and satin mouthfeel. Finishes dry with a decent length and complexity. Well made, ready to drink from 2023 through 2028+.

"Deep ruby-red, slightly hazy (unfiltered), lighter on the rim. The nose is vibrant and full, with aromas of blackcurrant, boysenberry and cherry melded with floral and an amalgam of spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry are bright with a taut core, unfolding nutmeg, black pepper and violet. The fruit is succulent and packed with fresh acidity. Soft, supple, grainy-tannin left a light texture with spice lingering. This GSM blend is juicy and fresh with bramble, violet, spice, and a soft mouthfeel" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Dec 2022

Bright red and purple-magenta; medium colour intensity. Spice and plums and dark fruits; grated chocolate and vanilla pod. Musk, cinnamon and mocha. Here is also earth freshly dug and a bowlful of dark berries. Oak’s bouquet is matched by those dark berry fruit aromatics, and vice versa. Yin and yang. Rich red berry flavours (grenache) then earth and spice and plums (shiraz) and thirdly a long, leafy back-palate (yes, mataro - you’ve worked this game out now, haven’t you…) The sum, however, is much more than the parts. The tannins are neat but not in any way unnoticed. Acidity holds the line. The pure fruit and berry notes are balanced by the tannins and the oak’s spice.

This giving cup of red wine is something of an all-rounder, both with food and with people. A BBCruelled sausage, some Chinese pork spare rib, tagine with cous cous? The plush fruits coupled with the acidity make this possible; as too do they satisfy a range of people, which can in some social settings be nearly as diverse as the food.

Sister’s Run is serious fun. Our talented young winemaker Elena wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute, only for emergencies, like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like. Returning from a ‘knees-up’ at midnight, mid vintage, she managed to kick off one high heel and slip back into a boot’ just as the cellar crew cried out, ‘Run Sister Run’; and exactly then our winemaker and label took flight! The stiletto and boot are Sister’s Run; an independently owned and operated winery with a fierce commitment to making the best wines we can from family vineyards. We don’t take ourselves as seriously as we take our wines, but agree with Elena, all you need to know about wine is the five ‘V’s and remember the best wine is the wine you like. We hope you enjoy this wine as much as we did making it. Cheers from all at Sister’s Run... Excellent toy for play
My dog would play all day if I threw the ball to him. He loves this even though he's 12. The scooped end allows you to pick up the ball without touching it. After a few runs it's covered in dog slobber. So that's a major plus for me! Also, some health issues affect my walking and bending at times. This helps with the bending. This is a great game to play with your favorite friend!

Your high-energy dog will love it!
Why did I wait so long to get one of these?!? I am the stereotypical throws-like-a-girl person, and my dog really needs to have an option that forces her to run far and fast. This is it. I can get that ball half a soccer field away at a minimum if I want. The ball is super bouncy, which adds an element of fun to her attempts to tame it and bring it back. Super worth the money (which wasn't much!). I've never had one of these before, so can't compare to the non-folding version. This one is easy to carry and fits in a drawer for storrage. No way you can fit it in a pocket, especially if you have a phone in one and dog treats in the other.

Great usability
I prefer this version over the non-foldable stick, as this one I can fit into my bag and carry it out easily. Great size and has a locking feature to prevent it from folding up when throwing. Highly recommend, my dogs love fetch and it is hard to chew if they get their hands on it.

Almost Perfect
If you’ve ever seen these things, the foldable ones are just as good as the standard ones. I just wish when you folded it up there was a way to lock it into that position. When you unfold it to play, you lock it into place with the orange locking slide so it doesn’t fold up on you. But when you’re done playing and fold it up, there’s no way to lock it into that position, it can keep unfolding if you carry it around with you, plus the orange locking slide keeps sliding up and down. It’s not a huge deal, but they could’ve made it better.
