Reproduction of Patterns of the Amazon I by Kathrine Lovell
Kathrine Lovell — "Patterns of the Amazon I". This work represents a significant contribution to the contemporary discourse on decorative abstraction, drawing upon a rich lineage of ethnographic art and modernist pattern design. Lovell’s approach aligns with a broader trend in late 20th and early 21st-century art that seeks to reconcile cultural specificity with universal aesthetic principles. The composition is structured as a grid, a formal device that echoes the principles of modernist abstraction while simultaneously referencing the modular organization of traditional textile designs. The use of a limited, earthy palette—dominated by warm beige and punctuated by a deep charcoal—creates a harmonious yet dynamic visual field, where the contrast between the lines and the ground is both subtle and deliberate. This is not a work of pure ornamentation; rather, it is a thoughtful synthesis of form and content, where the visual rhythm of the patterns serves as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of natural and human systems. The artist’s meticulous line work, characterized by its consistent weight and measured precision, suggests a deep respect for the craft of pattern-making, while the overall composition evokes a sense of order and balance that is both intellectually satisfying and aesthetically pleasing. In its quiet complexity, "Patterns of the Amazon I" stands as a testament to the enduring power of pattern as a means of cultural expression and visual communication. For more art by Kathrine Lovell click here.

Arrived damaged
Color: Black, Size: 4 Panel Basic
Unfortunately, very cheaply made. It arrived with one of the connecting tubes cracked horizontally. Possibly due to bad welding. It is quite a headache to assemble. It was delivered on time but returned for a refund.

Not a great experience but a fine product
Color: Black, Size: 4 Panel Basic
not enough screws were included to make the wall. I was able to locate more screws to finish building-so I didn’t have to return the product- but it was a pain and I got lucky finding the pieces I needed
but it could’ve been a fail and a returned product

Useful, simple room divider
Color: White, Size: 4 Panel Basic
All the pieces were accounted for, and some even had extra pieces, maybe just in case they need changing. It was a bit like putting together a piece of IKEA furniture, though I went slower than usual so as not to make any mistakes. It wasn’t too hard to put together myself, and helps give my studio apt a feeling of space and privacy for my bed. I only wish it had a lovely Japanese design on it, but it does amazingly seem to match the wall color.

Multi purpose divider
Color: White, Size: 4 Panel Basic
I am excited this divider is being used to block off a portion of the dining room where I stored extra supplies. It looks nice!
