Sue Schlabach — "Birch Road Crop". This work exemplifies a contemporary painterly approach to landscape, aligning with the broader tradition of American Impressionism while embracing a distinctly modern sensibility. Schlabach’s technique is characterized by loose, expressive brushwork that captures the ephemeral quality of light and atmosphere rather than a precise, topographical rendering. The composition employs an asymmetric balance, with the vertical forms of the birch trees on the left creating a visual counterpoint to the expansive, horizontal sweep of the forest and distant hills on the right, guiding the viewer’s eye through the scene. The color palette is restrained and harmonious, utilizing a range of earthy greens and ochres for the foliage and ground, which are set against the luminous white of the birch bark and a cool, atmospheric blue for the sky and distant treeline. This subtle use of color creates a sense of depth and tranquility, with the high contrast between the white trunks and the darker greens providing a focal point. The work’s interpretive significance lies in its ability to evoke a profound sense of place and mood through a simplified, yet emotionally resonant, visual language. It is a quiet celebration of the natural world, capturing a moment of serene beauty that is both familiar and deeply personal, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect on the quiet elegance of the everyday landscape. For more art by Sue Schlabach click here.

These are delicious tart cherry candies that help combat dry mouth. They are sugar free and individually wrapped so it’s easy to carry a few around in your pocket or purse.

These work well
Flavor Name: Tart Cherry, Size: 3.85 Ounce (Pack of 1)
These are a nice alternative to lemon drops. They are a little sour/tart but that’s the point. They taste just like a regular hard piece of candy, without the sugar. They do help my dry mouth and I will purchase them again!

Flavor is pretty good, but could be better
Flavor Name: Tart Cherry, Size: 3.85 Ounce (Pack of 1)
In trying to find a keto candy WITHOUT maltitol, this one is a pretty good one. It’s a great blend of tart and sweet, but I just wish the cherry flavor was more concentrated. The flavor is good- just a little dull. I’ll still rebuy them because they help satisfy my cravings, keep me keto, and don’t give me any stomach issues.
