A One-of-One That Was Never Meant for Production
This is a Back Door offering. This Skeletonized Titanium Bolt Action Pen was built as a Blade Show display piece, finished specifically to showcase the design under show lighting, and was never intended for retail production. It is a true one-off, with a dark stonewashed finish that does not exist in the standard lineup.
After the strong response to the aluminum skeletonized bolt action pens, the move to titanium pushed the concept even further. This pen features over 150 precision-machined cutouts, dramatically reducing weight while exposing the internal mechanics. In this configuration, the darker finish gives it a more industrial, almost prototype-like presence that feels purposeful and restrained rather than flashy.
Note from Lone Star Knife & Supply
This is exactly the kind of piece The Back Door was created for. Nothing is wrong with it. There’s no defect. It simply doesn’t fit into a normal production run. This pen was made to demonstrate what’s possible, not to be repeated, and that makes it special.
