Exceptional vintage Chanel necklace, from Fall/Winter 1999, Karl Lagerfeld era. This truly elegant and overwhelmingly exceptional piece is an own-for-a-lifetime acquisition. A byzantine inspired necklace blessed by the touches of none other than Maison Gripoix, the pendant features lavender purple and magenta poured glass cross points, with lovely faux pearls in a Maltese fashion. Gold plated ornate settings, caps, and details throughout, with the bail and clasp adorned by bordeaux glass bits. The center Gripoix glass stone is unusual in that, when held up to the light it is clearly a vibrant magenta pink, but when resting or against black, it has a more muted burgundy hue. It's a magnificent kaleidoscope of colors that is sure to be the star of any outfit and/or room! The pendant slides along a double chain necklace, with a decorative hook clasp closure at the back of the neck. As you can see in the photos, it is possible to double the necklace for a shorter look. It is effortlessly beautiful and boasts all of the iconographies of the House of Chanel. Etched cartouche at the backside of the pendant. A true collector's piece.

Condition: Excellent overall condition. Ultra minimal/minor signs of wear to metal, which includes a small spot of tarnish at the backside of the pendant that is not visible when worn and only noticed under close inspection. Minor/minimal scratches to pearls. Any of these minor flaws are illuminated in the photos way beyond what is visible in real life. Other than the tarnish spot at the backside, darkening or black marks on metal are purely photographic reflection. You will be absolutely in love with this piece.
