Our Hexagons come in 3 different thicknesses, 0mm, 2mm, & 4mm. We recommend 2mm for the extreme rider. The lower profile of the 2mm makes it less prone to damages caused by the constant barrage of high speed tumbles on jagged rocks. INSTRUCTIONS: Please click on the Grip Tape Install video below for complete instructions. As of 8-28-2024 ALL Colored Wraps now come pre-installed onto the back side of the Grip Tape for easier installation. Installation of HEX & RETRO patterns is the same process as our Standard Foam Grip Tape. DO NOT REMOVE the grip tape from in-between the HEX & RETRO Pattern until after installing the grip onto the foot pad!

Q&A from Customers:

Q. What causes a board to "Ghost"?(foot pad sensor engages with no rider on the board) A. Several things can cause ghosting. 1st Common problem is from over heating the Foot Pad sensor. This happens when removing the "Stock" grip tape. We recommend using very little heat. Just enough heat to get the surface area of the grip tape to 125F. For any left over adhesive residue we recommend using our "Adhesive Remover". The 2nd Common problem is caused when air is trapped in-between the grip tape and the sensor. This creates an air pocket that puts pressure on the sensor causing it to engaging. ALL Ignite Grip Tape & Foam Grip Tape is PERFORATED to insure no air pockets get trapped in between the sensor and grip tape.

Q. Will the foam tear, where out, or flatten if used by aggressive 200+LBS riders? A. Yes and no... this foam will show some signs of wear but will not tear apart. But it will start to flatten over prolonged use. We recommend our heavier riders to use our 2mm foam for prolonged life.

Q. Will the Images wear off that are printed on the Grip Tape? How do you recommend to clean the grip tape? A. We recommend using a brush. You can add water while brushing to get it looking NEW! When using water we recommend using our Epoxy Foot Pad Sensor Sealant / Plastic & Wood Repair Kit. To insure your FRONT Foot Pad Sensor is properly sealed.

Q. After installing my FRONT foot pad sensor back on my board it will not engage... A. 99 out of 100 times its because you have your tire cable pugged into your foot pad connector and your foot pad cable plugged into your tire cable connector.

Q. Is REMOVAL of the Foam Grip Tape difficult? Do you need a heat gun? A. No, our customized specially formulated 3M adhesive allows for easy removal. You heard that right! We had our 3M double sided adhesive customized so it will stick to wood, plastic, rubber, urethan, & foam. The best part is that all of this was achieved with virtually ZERO residue when removed!

Q. Why is the Foam Grip Tape tearing off in pieces when I am removing it? A. Make sure to pull off our adhesive liner at the same time as the foam. This will insure the foam and grip tape all come off in one piece and not 100's of tiny foam pieces.

Q. Can I install Ignite Grip Tape/Foam Grip Tape on top of my existing grip tape or do I need to remove my old grip tape? A. REMOVE your old grip tape! We NEVER recommend this practice. It is risky and can cause ghosting issues.

After testing multiple designs we have finally cracked the code for no ghosting issues on the new concave front foot pad sensors of the GT! Due to the known ghosting issues of the GT and different riding styles we are recommending the use of Simple Stop. At this moment Future Motion is recommending to all their customers to activate Simple Stop on their mobile app to insure no possibilities of ghosting.  From our testing we have seen where our foam grip tape fixed the issue of ghosting boards. The springiness of our foam helps to pull the sensors apart from each other so they don't accidently detect a rider. I really think we nailed it with this version! However, if Future Motion can’t guarantee their boards not to ghost neither can we. So if you are worried about ghosting turn on your Simple Stop! We will not be liable for any damages caused by a ghosting board.

If they can't fix it they will replace it.
This protection plan that i pay monthly for paid for itself ten fold. My 3D printer just quit working and after the manufacturer warrenty had ran out at that. I submitted my claim they emailed me a shipping label in which I shipped out my printer that same day. Two days later they received my printer determined it couldc not be fixed and sent me a Amazon gift card for the full price of my printer. Don't waste your money - these people will not help you
On March 9th 2024, I purchased a MCombo Lift Chair costing $785. On the same day, through the same Amazon account (my PERSONAL account since I also have a business account), I purchased an Asurion Complete Protect policy at the cost of $16.99 per month plus taxes. About one month ago, a problem arose with the chair that required me to make a claim using the "Complete Protect" policy that I had purchased for that very item. The claim was initiated on January 1st, 2025 - On January 3rd, I received an email asking me for photographs showing the damage for which I was making a claim. I sent those photographs via email to the address provided on January 6th. On January 27th, having not received ANY response from Asurion, I contacted them via phone and was told that my purchase had been made with a business account, that it was being used for business purposes, and was therefore not covered. I assured the Asurion Representative that it was most certainly not a business use, and that the chair that I was claiming for had been purchased because I had extensive shoulder surgery done that made it impossible to get in and out of bed. After speaking (unsuccessfully) with the Asurion Rep, I then contacted Amazon Customer Service. I spoke with an Amazon Customer Service Representative on the phone who confirmed that I had in fact used my personal account to purchase the chair and the Asurion Complete Protect policy. That representative went on to send a message to Asurion on my behalf confirming that the purchase was for personal use and not business use. Asurion responded, asking me to call them with the order number for the Asurion purchase. The number I gave was the exact same order number on my order history, however, the Asurion Rep could not find it. I was finally able to discover that the order number in Asurion's system was entirely different and isn't even in the same format as an Amazon order number. Upon the Asurion representative finding my plan, she informed me that the chair was listed as being purchased for business use (despite Amazon confirming that it was NOT) but that I should give them "a couple of business days" to resolve the issue. Five business days later, still no response and so I called them again (Yesterday - February 1st 2025)... Lo and behold, I got the same crap yet again... the purchase was listed as business use and was therefore being denied, but she promised to remove the business use commentary and put the claim through again. Today, February 2nd, I called Amazon yet again to escalate and had to call THREE times because the first two calls resulted in me finally being connected to an Asurion representative (two different reps) and each time, the Asurion representative hung up the phone as soon as my name was mentioned. It has become clear to me that the Asurion "Complete Protect" policy is a SCAM - they will NOT take care of your issue, regardless of how long you've been paying. I have been paying every month since March 9th last year - so they've received over $170 from me thus far, with zero other claims, and if I am able to cancel right now, I will only receive $16.99 back. All I want, is the chair that I purchased the policy for coverage of, to be repaired or replaced. Asurion are NOT helping, and are actively avoiding contact. At this point, I am considering legal action against Asurion for fraud - perhaps even a Class Action. I'll wait and see if my issue gets resolved within the next 10 days or so.

Glad to have Asurion Protection Plan!!! So easy to file a claim and get refunded!!!
I bought my ongoing protection plan about six months ago and had not used it for anything. About the same time, I purchased a small fountain for our front porch. A few weeks ago, the pump stopped working and I did everything I could think of to fix the pump, first check to see if the electrical outlet it had been plugged into still worked and it did. I then poured out all the water, added fresh water, then opened the pump to wash it out and remove any debris it had inside. There was none, and of course by now, the manufacturer's return date ended about four months ago. I was very nervous to submit a claim -- I was afraid I would get rejected, that I would have to pack up and return, or that I would be given 20 questions or more and provide mountains of paperwork to submit the claim. But it was surprisingly simple and easy, the person from Asurion was friendly and did her job incredibly well, my claim was created in their system in less than five minutes and I received a total refund minus the tax (turns out online retailer is not allowed to refund the tax because it was already paid to local and state governments. The cost of the fountain minus the tax was still about $165, which allowed me to upgrade to a much better water pump that had a higher output and also has something called "Burn Protection," ie overheating if the water level gets too low or if the pump gets plugged with debris. The total cost of the new pump was about $25 and has all kinds of amazing features as compared to the small fountain that didn't even have burn protection. I installed the new pump and it's working far better than the one that came with the fountain. Bottom line: I am so glad that I purchased the monthly protection plan from Asurion, and told my family how please I had it. They previously told me it was a waste of money and time because they wouldn't honor the claim. but they did, and I am so elated!
