It is a real color-changing film, so the flip is built into the vinyl and not a coating that washes off. While it is giving your car that flip-and-sparkle look, it also sits over your factory paint and takes the daily hits of dust, light scuffs and washing instead of the paint itself. When you want a new look later, it comes off and your original finish is still under there.
