Pilgrim plating is excellent quality and all gold jewellery is plated in 24 carat gold or silver in 925 sterling silver. The base of Pilgrim jewellery is (minimum of 75% recycled) brass, zinc and stainless steel. All bracelets, earrings and necklaces are plated to a thicknes of 0.5 -1 micro inches and all rings are plated to an additional 2-3 micro inches.
A strong coating is applied to prevent rapid oxidisation. At least two layers of the spray coating are applied wherever possible.
