This is a high quality custom metal bushing kit that will stiffen up the shifter in manual transmission Diamond-Stars. The kit includes metal bushings and spacers to replace the factory rubber pieces where the shifter plate mounts to the car, and a bushing sleeve that will take much of the play out of the shifter. These are NOT just some hardware store washers. The precision-machined bushings, including four with a specially machined concentric step, ensure that the shifter mechanism is perfectly aligned. The kit is completely compatible with short-throw shifters.
Skeptical? Here's what one Mach V customer had to say about the kit:
Fits all manual-transmission 1995-1999 DSM (Eclipse/Talon) cars. Kit includes metal bushings, metal shifter sleeve, and complete instructions. (There are even more detailed instructions on the web.)
We used to carry a kit like this called the "Symborski Shifter Kit." This kit is not that exact one, but works the same.
