Wound Balm Application

Animals sometimes lick off this product because they like the taste. Another product, powdered yarrow (e.g. Wound Aid for Animals), is very bad tasting and adheres well to the Wound Balm. It is recommended, when necessary, that a thin layer of Wound Aid be applied to the Wound Balm to counter licking.

Wound Balm for Animals is recommended to be applied twice daily. On large granular wounds a liberal application is more appropriate than a sparing application. In other words pack large open wounds with Buck Mountain Botanicals Wound Balm

If a wound is not clean and dry an acceleration of an infection may occur when sealed with any salve. So, clean the wound thoroughly before applying.
