  • Kali Indian Goddess of Shakti Feminine Energy, Creativity and Fertility
  • Due to the amount of wear and softening of the figure's features, and the fineness of the detail, we estimate the age of the this magnificent figure as early to mid 19th Century.
  • Approx. 5" tall x 2 1/4" wide x 2" deep
  • Hindu goddess (or Devi of death, time, destruction and is also considered a strong mother-figure and symbolic of Motherly-Love. Kali also embodies Shakti Feminine Energy, Creativity and Fertility. She is an incarnation of Parvati, wife of Shiva. She is often depicted in art as a fearful, fighting figure adorned with a necklace of severed heads, a skirt of arms, a lolling tongue, while holding a knife dripping with blood.
  • Kali's name is derived from the Sanskrit meaning "She who is black, or She who is death". As an embodiment of time Kali devours all things but can also represent the benevolence of a mother goddess.
  • Kali's most common four armed iconographic image shows each hand carrying a sword, a trident, a severed head and a bowl or skull-cup catching the blood of the severed head. Two of these hands (usually the left) are holding a sword and a severed head. The sword signifies human ego which must be slain by divine knowledge in order to attain moksha. The other two hands (usually the right) are in the fearlessness and blessing mudras, which means her initiated devotees will be saved. She has a garland of human heads (usually 108 or 51) (an auspicious number in Hinduism and the number of countable beads on a mala). She is often shown naked which symbolizes Her being beyond the covering of Maya since She is pure.
  • The pose of Kali's foot on Shiva's chest comes from an episode in which Kali was rampaging out of control after destroying many demons. Shiva, fearing that Kali would not stop until She destroyed the world, could only think of one way to stop Her. Once she realized Her consort was under Her and She realized She gone too far, was when She finally calmed down.
  • The origin of this figure is most likely Indian, and was collected by Beads of Paradise NYC Owner Brian in the early 1990's in Nepal.

Amazing product!
Set name: Sublimation Printer, Set name: Sublimation Printer
All I can say is "WOW". I was skeptical about changing over from my Sawgrass to another brand of sublimation printers. But now I wish I started here from the start! Not only does this machine cost a good amount less with the same paper sizes and options as my SG500 but the ink is cheaper per cartridge and 11ml larger than the standard 30ml I am use to. Set up was super easy, as well as the connection. My prints are bold, bright, and beautiful. I am amazed! I am thankful that the details in the prints show through no matter what material I am pressing on. As a business owner, I need a good, efficient printer that doesn't cost more than the product I am selling. I can't wait to continue using my machine. I have not run into any maintenance issue and can not speak on anything of that as of now. Attached photos; however, my camera did not do it justice.

Good image quality
Set name: Sublimation Printer
Has good print quality and has worked well. I like the tray paper feed for regular size and that I can use the back paper feed set up for my mug sized sublimation paper. I had considered converting an ink jet to a sublimation, but for a little more decided to try this. Glad I did. Set up was pretty easy and I'm happy with the color quality and accuracy. I wasn't sure when I first saw the print out, but once the sublimation was doen, it was great.

Great value
Set name: Sublimation Printer
This is my first sublimation printer and I am very happy with this printer. The photos that I have printed have been very good quality and vibrant colors and have applied really well to the sublimation blanks I have used. I like that it will self clean the heads as long as the printer power is on. It was important to me to get an actual sublimation printer in order to have the warranty on it. The printer works with the Artspira app. This app is only available on a smart phone or tablet. It is very difficult to design on such a small screen. Brother needs to have a program that will work on a computer to make designing easier. I did gave difficulties getting my phone to connect to the printer after I designed my work on the very small screen. I used the chat feature on the Brother site and they were able to help me get it connected in order to print.
