COMPOUND INFORMATION
G1053 Standard
The G1053 compound is Galfer’s entry level option. It delivers progressive braking, quiet operation, and consistent performance in both dry and light wet conditions.
G1455 Road
The G1455 compound is tailored for road and gravel bikes and all-weather use. It balances strong, controlled braking with long pad life and minimal noise, making it ideal for gran fondos, training rides, and daily commuting. This compound is our favourite, and is rotor-friendly, reducing long-term maintenance costs and reducing pesky noises.
G1851 Advanced
Designed for extreme weather and muddy trails, the G1851 Advanced compound uses basalt fibres and special moisture-resistant coatings to maintain braking power when conditions deteriorate. It excels in enduro, XC, and UK-style winter riding, where wet performance and fade resistance are critical. This pad reduces noise and rotor wear even in damp environments.
