Description
Superb Schabak die-cast model representing the iconic SABENA Convair CV-440 Metropolitan registered OO-CTH, finished in the elegant blue and silver livery used by the Belgian national airline during the 1950s and early 1960s.
This miniature stands out for its exceptionally preserved condition, with bright colours, intact printing, complete landing gear and finely detailed four-blade propellers. The model displays beautifully and remains one of the most attractive classic propeller-era SABENA miniatures produced by Schabak.
Manufactured in Germany in 1:600 scale, the Convair CV-440 appeared in the Schabak catalogue from the late 1980s onward under references associated with the Metropolitan series. Schabak became internationally renowned for its detailed 1:600 airline models.
Beautifully preserved example in excellent condition.
