Colombard is a high-yield cultivar that does incredibly well in the McGregor valley, though it’s typically vinified as an easy-going, light and off-dry wine in this area. The Tanagra Colombard is different – it comes from older vines, pruned specifically to further reduce the yield and vinified as a serious & elegant food wine. Fresh and crisp but with the added layer of well integrated barrel fermentation and ageing. It can be enjoyed now but will also mature well within (at least) the next 4 to 5 years. Only 2200 bottles made.

Colour: White
Nose: White peach, honey dew melon, vanilla and subtle oak
Palate: Dry and elegant. Subtle smokiness with undertones of beeswax and lanolin. Fresh and crisp but with the added layer of well integrated barrel fermentation.
