Cast Bronze, Hand-Finished

Cast using the lost-wax method, this bronze horse sculpture is finished entirely by hand. The warm golden-bronze patina glows across the raised surfaces of the mane, haunches, and scroll base, deepening into a reddish-brown in the recessed areas between muscle groups and decorative spirals. This tonal contrast is not applied mechanically; it is worked by hand after casting to bring out the modelled detail beneath. The sculpture sits on a separate round lacquered wooden stand with a carved edge profile in deep reddish-brown, presenting the piece at a slight elevation and completing the display composition.
