Striking diamond patterned antique french trim from the Lyon region of France. Jacquard woven gold and cream rayon trim. The central motif being a simple geometric diamond pattern, accented by a bi-colored gold and cream twisted cording couch stitched to the trim surface to add three dimensional depth. A similar accent is repeated at the borders in the form of unspun fibers gathered and woven in a flattened gimp-like fashion. This is true antique stock and is unfortunately not reorderable. Measures 2 inch wide and is comprised of rayon and possibly silk fiber content. Trim is medium weight and is ideal for many applications, including, but not limited to trim, sashing, or millinery banding. Due to the texture this does not hold a typical bow, unless backed with rigeline or similar.
