"In 2011 a 0.24-hectare parcel of Le Grand Pin was replanted, 2016 is the first harvest of the new vines. Baptiste was hesitant to include the new fruit within the Grand Pin itself, so decided to declassify the wine into the occasional cuvee Sablons. It was fermented and aged in cement and - as well as being ridiculous value for money! - is a truly beautiful interpretation of this very grand terroir: Floral, sweet cherry fruit on the nose with spicy balsamic hints. The balletic red fruit in the middle has a moreish, savoury quality reminiscent of fine tobacco. Like the other two, it’s so light on its feet - a real masterclass in Rhone winemaking at a very fair price indeed.°

Schwester und Brüder Grangeon gehören mit ihrem schönen Anwesen zu den Spitzenweingütern im Châteauneuf. Der sexy, sinnliche Stil ihrer Weine ist wohlbekannt. Dies liegt an der besonderen Qualität ihrer Trauben von sehr alten Grenache-Rebstöcken.
Chapelle Saint-Theodoric ist ein Joint Venture zwischen Baptist Grangeon und US-Importeur Peter Weygandt. Zwei äußerst interessante Lieux-Dits Guigasse und Pignan (neben Château Rayas) mit reinen Sandböden und 50-100 Jahre alten Grenache-Rebstöcken werden nach biodynamischen Prinzipien bewirtschaftet.
