The Quest Scuba Tector is a pulse-induction pinpointer waterproof to 200 feet (60 meters) in saltwater or freshwater, designed for divers recovering targets in rivers, lakes, and ocean environments. Recreational scuba detectorists working wrecks, beach drop-offs, or submerged structures need a tool that survives depth pressure and eliminates false signals from mineralized water, and the Scuba Tector's PI circuitry delivers both. The 5x4-inch epoxy-filled mono coil balances sensitivity with compact handling underwater, while the built-in rechargeable Li-Po battery removes the mid-dive battery-swap risk that sinks AA-powered units.

What's Included with the Quest Scuba Tector

  • Quest Scuba Tector pinpointer with 5x4-inch mono coil
  • Coil protector/cover
  • Wrist dive band
  • Stainless steel spring lanyard
  • Micro USB charging cable
  • Spare O-ring

Why Underwater Detectorists Reach for the Scuba Tector

  • Pulse-induction technology eliminates false signals in saltwater and black-sand environments where VLF pinpointers chatter constantly, letting you focus on real targets instead of ground noise.
  • Waterproof to 200 feet (60 meters) under fresh or saltwater, the Scuba Tector handles recreational dive depths and pressurized environments that exceed the 10-foot rating of most land-oriented pinpointers.
  • Built-in rechargeable Li-Po battery runs 14 hours per charge and recharges via Micro USB, eliminating the corrosion risk and mid-dive dead-battery scenario that AA-powered units introduce.
  • Dual alarm modes (buzzer, vibration, or combined) plus LED flashlight let you adapt to visibility conditions, from murky river bottoms where audio is king to clear water where vibration preserves your air supply.
  • Ribbed ergonomic body improves grip stability in wet gloves, and the lanyard attachment loop cap prevents drop loss when you're working a target in current.

Pulse-Induction Circuitry for Saltwater and Mineralized Environments

The Scuba Tector runs a 95 kHz pulse-induction circuit that ignores saltwater and black-sand mineralization, the two conditions that force VLF pinpointers into constant retune cycles. PI technology transmits a magnetic pulse and listens for the decay signature of conductive targets, so ground minerals and dissolved salts don't register as false signals. Divers working ocean wrecks, tidal zones, or volcanic-sand beaches get clean target response without the chatter that buries real finds. RAIT (Ratio Alarm Indication Technology) intensifies the audio and vibration response as the coil nears a target, giving you directional feedback in zero-visibility silt clouds where you're hunting by feel. The automatic tuning resets ground balance on startup, and a manual retune button lets you null out a large ferrous object mid-dive without surfacing.

Readable
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Not at all what I would consider “Very Good” condition, as the book was described. Pretty disappointed to be honest, considering I paid over $100 for this. It’s beaten up, torn, and dirty, but it’s readable.

Not as listed!
Format: Hardcover
I paid nearly 300 dollars for this book and it was not as listed. I bought this because it was listed as new, but the book arrived with a broken binding, highlighting and writing throughout the pages, and the course ecode was already used. Unfortunately, I cannot use it for my studies.

Coverage lined up nearly perfectly with my fed courts class
Format: Paperback
Almost every case we covered in class and definitely every concept is covered, and explained helpfully, in this E&E. The problems are helpful, too.

Great Federal Courts supplement
Format: Paperback
This E&E book really helped with Fed. Courts! Incorporate the public v. private law models/SOP and federalist v. nationalist paradigms which my professor used in the course. This version doesn't have some of the newer cases (TransUnion v. Ramirez). The standing section could have more info but standing is one of the easiest doctrines in fed courts. The Habeas Corpus, particularly the Teague Doctrine and AEDPA, section is excellent. The only big thing this book does not include are universal injunctions and the scope of remedies (outside of standing, anti-injunction act, and section 1983).
