The steel was lightly hammered to introduce movement into the layers, then ground, heat treated, and finished to a high standard. After extensive work with this material, this edition marks a high point in our work with Damax.
Each blade undergoes a lengthy finishing process with alternating etches, hand sanding, belt finishing, and polishing, resulting in a smooth but graphically textured surface. Hardened to 62 HRC, it delivers excellent edge retention and cutting feel.
