Step-by-Step Installation Guide
- Disconnect the two-wire electrical connectors from the FCC and the low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP), and disconnect the fuel supply line from the LPFP.
- Release the canister retaining clamp using a 7/16-inch wrench, slide the canister downward, and drain the contents into an approved container.
- Remove the old fuel filter from the canister and take out the old o-rings from the FCC head.
- Install the new o-rings and lubricate them to ease installation.
- Slide the new filter onto the high-pressure pump, reinstall the canister, and tighten the retaining clamp securely.
- Reconnect the fuel supply line to the LPFP.
- Reconnect the two-wire electrical connectors to the FCC and the LPFP.
- Start the engine and inspect carefully for any fuel leaks.
O-Ring Note: For threaded FCC canisters (old style), use the larger o-ring only. For clamp-on FCC canisters (new style), use the smaller o-rings.
