Discover the rich tapestry of musical heritage with 'The Blues: A Visual History' by Mike Evans. This compelling hardback book, measuring 254 x 279 mm, features 272 pages of striking illustrations, guiding readers through the profound evolution of blues music from its deep roots in the American South to its global recognition. As you turn the pages, you will uncover the stories of iconic musicians who have shaped the genre, transforming the deceptively simple 12-bar musical form into the foundation of modern popular music. The blues is not merely a musical style; it is the heartbeat of rock, jazz, and R&B, echoing the sentiment of legends like John Lee Hooker, who famously said: 'The music we play . . . that music is the roots.' This visual history captures the essence of cultural history and showcases the impact of blues on contemporary music trends. Charting the history of the blues from its rural roots in the American South, and focusing on the key musicians and singers who brought it recognition worldwide, The Blues: A Visual History is a unique and fully illustrated account of the development of the blues. This deceptively simple, 12-bar musical form has become the common denominator that has driven the popular music of the last hundred years. As John Lee Hooker put it: "The music we play . . . that music is the roots. Rock music, everything else, is like a branch on the same tree. It all comes from the Blues."

Great sunscreen!
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 2), Style: SPF 50
We love this sunscreen as our compromise between conventional toxic sunscreen and pure zinc that proves challenging to work with! A few bottles lasted us an entire week of vacation!

Easy to Use, Great for Daily Outdoor Use
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 2), Style: SPF 50
This has become my go-to sunscreen for daily walks. The spray works at any angle, which makes application quick and easy — especially when you’re trying to get out the door. 🙌
The scent is light and summery, not overpowering, which I appreciate. It performs well for regular outdoor use, though like most sprays, it does leave a slightly sticky feel on the skin.
For those who pay attention to ingredients, this has an EWG rating of 4 (with 10 being the worst), so while it’s not the cleanest option out there, there are definitely greener alternatives if that’s a priority for you.
Overall, a convenient and reliable everyday sunscreen, especially for active outdoor routines.

Best for Construction Workers
Size: 5 Fl Oz (Pack of 2), Style: SPF 70
I work on hot rooftops with a white surface, surrounded by metal duct work that reflects the sun all day long. It could be 70° at ground level but 100° on the roof.
This is the best unscented, sweat proof sunscreen I have been able to find. I only need to reapply at around 1:00pm. I made it the entire summer without a sun burn. Pretty impressive.
