Liver, Kidney, Bladder & Gall Bladder Cleanse* (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)

HEPA PROTECT MAX MEAL TOPPER is used holistically which may help provide systemic liver, kidney and gallbladder support; as an alterative & adaptogenic extract which may help bring the body into balance as well as alter the outer membrane of liver cells to help prevent toxins from penetrating liver cells and may help encourage the animal body to regenerate liver cells. Also used holistically to help cleanse the liver and may encourage liver repair in cases of dysfunction; may help promote bile flow; may help moderate high level enzymes levels and may help detoxify and protect the liver and kidneys by promoting bile production and by helping to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria and fungi. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)

Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, macro and trace minerals, fatty and amino acids, 17 alkaloids, glycosides and particularly its silica and boldine content, HEPA PROTECT MAX MEAL TOPPER is suggested as an integrative and holistic adjunctive support which may be used for liver and kidney disorders, including hepatic lipidosis; varying forms of hepatitis, Fatty Liver Disease (FLD); Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD); Feline Urological Syndrome (FUS) and Feline cholangiohepatitis; for its secondary benefits which may help to fight bladder, urinary tract and kidney infections. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)

Used by holistic veterinarians to help detoxify the liver and kidneys, which is essential as our animals are carrying tremendous toxic loads due to polluted water, diets comprised of commercial foods lacking nutrients and environmental toxins such as detergents, dryer sheets and other chemicals that tax and overburden immunity.

Other holistic, therapeutic indications may include use to help regulate kidney acid/alkaline levels; may help regulate liver enzyme levels and production; may help support kidney and endocrine function; may be used for oxalate  and struvite crystals and stones; may help reduce uric acid and acidify urine; may be useful for gall bladder inflammation, gall stones and gallbladder infections as well as kidney colic and calculi and to help support water balance and fluid regulation (especially important for senior and immuno compromised animals.) (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)

Plants contain dozens and often, hundreds of natural, plant chemicals, which provide primary (see above) and secondary health benefits. Other secondary plant benefits HEPA PROTECT MAX MEAL TOPPER may help support normal hormone production involved in red blood cell formation and blood pressure regulation; may help support the excretion of waste products; may help tone and strengthen the bladder and connective tissue; may be useful for incontinent animals; may help promote strong skin, tissue, bones, claws and fur; may help protect the myelin sheaths around nerve cells and the membranes of the brain and spinal cord; may help to reduce prostate inflammation; and may be useful for colitis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system)

Ingredients*

Contains a proprietary adaptogen blend including Horsetail and Lion's Tooth (Dandelion).

Our flavoring and powder are certified Kosher and Halal, and meet all requirements of European Pharmacopoeia (EP), and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP).

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not give to puppies or kittens. Do not administer to adult cats for more than 30 days.  Long-term use can elevate blood pressure in cats and should be used for short term only. Likely contraindicated for pets with ulcers, edema, bile duct obstruction, silica bladder stones, high blood pressure, pets with disorders that have a tendency towards thin blood such as thrombocytopenia or hemophilia, or pets using other drugs for cardiac disease or blood thinners such as Warfarin®. Contraindicated for extended use beyond 90 days without breaks in between usage for all animals.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

May potentiate diuretics, blood thinning medications such as Warfarin®, anticoagulant and anti-platelet drugs, may decrease the effect or reduce the half-life of certain drugs that are metabolized in the liver (Cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) substrates and Glucuronidated drugs). CAUTIONS

Do not use with puppies or kittens or pregnant or nursing pets. Use caution if your pet has cardiac symptoms or disease or suffers from edema, ulcers, bile duct obstruction, diabetes or hypoglycemia, and monitor your pet's blood sugar levels carefully. Not recommended for long term use alone as it contains a chemical called thiaminase that breaks down the vitamin thiamine, possibly leading to thiamine deficiency and could worsen a thiamine deficiency condition.

Talk to your Vet before adding Boldo to your pet’s diet as Boldo may increase the flow of bile, a fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. Bile passes through small channels (ducts) in the intestine where it plays an important role in digesting fats. When ducts become blocked, extra bile flow might be harmful in cat/dogs with blocked bile ducts. Boldo can slow blood clotting, so discontinue use at least two weeks prior to the date your pet is scheduled for surgery.

HEPA PROTECT MAX contains agracejo and a natural plant chemical called berberine, which can cause brain damage in kittens and puppies, however, is SAFE for adult and senior dogs and cats. Berberine in Agracejo can pass from a mother’s body into her offspring through the placenta and brain damage can occur to puppies/kittens exposed to berberine.

“How am I supposed to remain the mysterious, grumpy brother if word gets out I’m a softy?”
Format: Kindle
4 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ “How am I supposed to remain the mysterious, grumpy brother if word gets out I’m a softy?” Nine Month Contract is the first instalment in the contemporary romance series, Mountain Men Matchmaker. Each novel in the series is an interconnected standalone that follows a group of brothers. Written in multi first person POV, the story primarily follows Trista and Wyatt as they enter an surrogacy agreement that draws them together in ways they did not imagine. Trista has a dream to open her own animal shelter but money is tight. Through her investigation she is tempted by the idea of surrogacy but no surrogacy agency will accept her because of her plus size figure and her lack of pregnancy experience. Add in her apartment tenancy becoming precarious and she needs a miracle...enter Wyatt and his tenacious niece. Wyatt has decided he wants a family and while finding a significant other may not be in the cards, a child is something he can achieve...except finding the right match has proven to be challenging, too. When his niece comes across Trista it sounds like a match made in heaven - she saves him thousands on a surrogacy agency and, in turn, he offers her room and board during her pregnancy (on top of the surrogacy fee). Except what happens when the more time they spend together the more time they begin to wonder...could there be something more if they gave it a chance? This book was enjoyable with a surprisingly deep conversation on self worth and independence! Trista is a very strong and independent woman as a result of her life. I felt for her because she always questions the support she is offered as if she can't trust it. She wants what Wyatt is offering but she tends to lash out in fear it will be taken once she feels comfortable. Her passion for animals really shows her empathy and care. I did want to shake her a few times but she had a lot of baggage to work through. Wyatt wants to be a dad so badly. He has been burned in the past and it definitely haunts him. He isn't extroverted so when he makes a true connection it matters. He can be possessive and blunt but there's an underlying element to him that desire to support the people he loves. I adored the way he worked around Trista's need for independence while still providing help. His relationship with his niece is also cute. “If we do this…you need to know that means I will own your body. Every particle on your skin will be mine for the taking. Do you understand?” In terms of spice, I would place this at 3.5 spicy peppers out of 5 spicy peppers. There are about 6 spicy scenes across this book. The initial spice scene (25%) is self pleasure as the characters complete each part of the surrogacy but next spice isn't until the 57% mark and then we get quite a bit of spice onwards. Our main characters have excellent chemistry and can't keep their hands off each other once they start. It is explicit and detailed and they like to have fun in riskier locations. The spice was also varied to keep things interesting. Wyatt is very possessive during spice and it made for some very HAWT moments. I had fun with it! The story itself is fairly character driven. I felt the pace felt pretty even and we really go to explore Wyatt and Trista's relationship here. I liked the connection to family at the core of the novel and the addition of rescue animals to add levity - these animals were so cute and I loved how they melted out characters. This book deals with some more serious topics around Trista's insecurities and I felt they were approached well - she often lashes out over these and Wyatt struggles with this. I felt the whole thing around Trista's friend built up to nowhere but I was more focused on the pregnancy journey here. There are some traditional elements to the romance but I like to take comfort in this. The ending is really sweet and it hits the perfect spot of not too long and not too short. Overall, this was a fun read that kept me engaged. Nine Month Contract is perfect for contemporary romance readers who like a bit of a kick to their romance with a powerful family bond, so much banter, and adorable rescue pets to ease the journey.

Surprisingly good pregnancy story with amazing narration
Format: Kindle
This book was cute, funny, and unexpectedly heartfelt. Pregnancy plots aren’t usually my go-to, but this one felt fresh and fun, with a unique take that totally worked for me. The story leaned fully into the romcom vibes while still delivering a surprising amount of emotional depth. I absolutely loved the cast—both human and animal. Every character felt charming and well-rounded, and the family dynamics, especially between the brothers, were a standout. Their relationships added so much heart and humor, and I’m already excited to read their stories next. The audiobook deserves a special shoutout —the narrators were fantastic and brought the humor, emotion, and banter to life perfectly. Overall, this was a cozy, feel-good romcom that made me laugh, swoon, and smile way more than I expected.

Eh
Format: Paperback
I came for the baby contract, stayed for the banter, and left with mixed feelings. Okay, listen. I wanted to love this book. It had all the ingredients for a delicious, spicy small-town romcom: ✔️ A broody, bearded mountain man who wants a baby but not a relationship (sir, okay...) ✔️ A scrappy, sunshine-y heroine with big dreams and zero time for BS ✔️ Forced proximity, a fake-ish relationship, and... a literal baby contract? SIGN ME UP. BUT. While this had moments, the overall execution didn’t quite deliver that knockout punch for me. It was cute, it was quirky, it had potential—but it also felt a little surface-level when I wanted more emotional depth. 🪵 Wyatt is peak grump. Like, grump of the year award. He’s emotionally walled-off and makes a very logical, slightly cold decision to have a baby with no strings attached. 🐾 Trista is feisty, fun, and came to this mountain town to start an animal rescue—but ends up signing up to carry Wyatt’s baby instead. Girl, blink twice if you need help. Their chemistry? It was there, but it felt more tepid tea than slow-burn wildfire. Some of the banter made me smile, but a few moments dipped into cheesy instead of charming. I wanted more genuine connection before we jumped into big emotional decisions. Quote that kinda sums it up: “I don’t want forever. I just want a baby.” Trista: blinks in rom-com disbelief Also, Wyatt's whole “no love, just baby” rule was giving ✨robot with a sperm bank✨ vibes for too long. I wanted him to soften sooner so I could fall for him the way I know I was supposed to. That said, it’s a fun, quick read with some sweet moments and the promise of more drama in future books. If you’re looking for a quirky romcom with a non-traditional setup and can roll with a little emotional whiplash, you’ll still have a good time.

Nine Month Contract
Format: Audiobook, Format: Audiobook
Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws Mountain Men Matchmaker series #1. Contemporary romance. Small town. Can be read as a stand-alone but for completeness, this is a spin-off of Last on the List from the Wait With Me series. Additional troupes include grumpy-sunshine, 10-year-age-gap, and curvy-FMC. At thirty-eight, Wyatt Fletcher knows what he wants from life. And that’s family. And a baby. Wyatt misses his father’s wisdom and guidance. He’s envious of his older brother Max’s family. It’s time. Sure, his brother putting an advertisement in Craig’s list for a surrogate was supposed to be a joke, but it was actually fortuitous. But twelve interviews later, Wyatt isn’t having much luck in finding the right woman. Everly Wyatt, Wyatt’s 18 year-old niece literally runs into a woman at the fertility clinic and after talking, decides Trista Matthews is the perfect woman for Uncle Wyatt. She sets them up on a date at the Mercantile. Trista Matthews needs to move and wants to open a wildlife rescue facility. Earning the money as a surrogate, and being able to live temporarily on the mountain is perfect for her plans. She’ll live in the renovated barn and have a place for any rescues she saves. Once she has the baby, she can walk away without any qualms. That’s what her parents did. And her sister. It’s normal in her experience to be able to walk away. So Wyatt and Trista sign a contract and take the next steps, separately, to get her pregnant. And then they tentatively become friends and maybe a little lust is involved. 🎧 I alternated between an ecopy and an audiobook version of this story. Two awesome dual narrators, Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton, bring the book to life, making it impossible to put down. Engaging, titillating, and more than a few laugh out loud moments, made this romance utterly delightful. And steamy. I did listen to this above a speed of 1.5 to more closely match my reading speed and local conversion. Even before this story fully ended, I downloaded a dozen more of the author’s back catalog. Can’t wait for the next in this series in June. The irreverence of the advertising is ridiculous yet sets the tone for the mountain man that wants his mountain retreat but also wants his family close. Perfect setup.

Heartfelt, Funny, and Deeply Moving Romance.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Amy Daws delivers a thoughtful and emotionally rich standalone with Nine Month Contract, a story that balances humour, sensitivity, and heartfelt character growth. Wyatt Fletcher is a reclusive mountain man in his 40s who lives on his own mountain near Boulder, Colorado. Beneath his rugged exterior is a man with a deeply personal dream of becoming a father. Trista enters his life through a carefully structured surrogacy agreement, and what follows is a slow-building connection grounded in trust, mutual respect, and emotional vulnerability. The author handles the topic of surrogacy with care and compassion, creating a narrative that feels intentional and respectful throughout. Rather than relying on shock value, the story focuses on the emotional journey of two people navigating a life-changing commitment together. One of the strongest aspects of the book is the Fletcher family. Wyatt’s close bond with his siblings, sister-in-law, and niece adds warmth and humour, with plenty of light-hearted moments and supportive interactions. Their dynamic highlights the importance of found family and creates a welcoming contrast to Trista’s more difficult upbringing. Trista’s passion for rescuing animals adds charm and levity to the story, while also revealing her generous heart. Her dream of running a wild animal rescue gives her character purpose and depth. The farm setting, complete with an ever-growing cast of animals, provides many memorable and amusing moments without overshadowing the emotional core of the book. Wyatt expresses care through consistent actions rather than grand gestures, offering steady support and reliability. While their emotional pacing differs, the character development feels realistic and earned. The story addresses challenges around differing expectations of parenthood in a way that feels genuine and meaningful. The story concludes with a satisfying resolution and a bonus epilogue that offers a glimpse into the future of the characters. Readers who enjoy emotionally grounded romance with humour, strong family dynamics, and thoughtful storytelling will likely find this book rewarding.
