Variety:
This is a super food-friendly Prosecco that goes fantastically as an aperitivo with antipasto, cured meats, and almonds. Still, you can enjoy Prosecco alongside the main course. Fresh Asian fare such as shrimp fresh rolls, sushi, Pad Thai, and even rich spicy curries are perfect with Prosecco’s fruity bubbles and acidity.

Did you know Prosecco was originally a grape? More recently however, the name of the grape was changed to Glera to help further protect the Prosecco region in Italy. One of the biggest differences between Prosecco and other sparkling wines is how it's made. Meraki's Prosecco uses typical “tank method” which enlists the use of some very high tech fermentation tanks. Base wines, a special sugar and yeast mixture (called tirage) are added to the tank. As the yeast eats the sugar and ferments it releases CO2 which causes the tank to pressurise. Since the pressure has no where to go, it carbonates the wine. There you have it Sparkling wine! After the process has completed, the wine rests, is then filtered, dosed with expedition liqueur to balance with sweetness and finally bottled.

Nose - Green Apple, Honey Dew, Pear
Lifted aromas, of pear, lemon oils, and crunch green apple.

Palate - Lemonade, Pear, Lager
Prominent pear and honey dew fruit characters. Zesty citrus green apple, and lager and creamy notes. 

Finish - Lemon zest, Minerals, Vibrant Acidity
Fruity drive with a zesty cleansing finish.
