zThis eye-catching Turquoise and Sterling Silver Ring was handcrafted by Nevada Silversmith Jim Daggett. The rectangular stone is Bonita Blue Turquoise, which displays medium and light-blue hues flecked with silver Pyrite. The Pyrite gives off a subtle sparkle. The Turquoise has been set on a plate of Reticulated Silver, which has attractive textured patterns. The Reticulated Silver was created by boiling Sterling Silver — releasing all the metal's impurities — and then splashing the Silver on a work surface. This creates thicker metal with wonderful ridges and designs. The Silver was then pressed, rolled and cut to the desired shape. The Turquoise stone is wrapped in a 1/4-inch tall handcrafted, notched Bezel, adding further design interest. The Ring face is attached to a Sterling Silver Band crafted from 3 pieces of 10 gauge Sterling Silver Round Wire. The pieces were shaped and soldered together, with the center wire cut shorter than the other 2 to create open space and enhance wearer comfort. The face of the Ring is 1-inch by 1-3/16-inch in dimension. The Ring is a size 8-3/4.
