Description
Tamiya 1/35 Military - M1A2 Abrams Tank Operation Iraqi Freedom - 35269The Tamiya 1 35 M1A2 Abrams Operation Iraqi Freedom (35269) reproduces the upgraded M1A2 Abrams as deployed by US Army armoured units during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. The M1A2 introduced the Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer, Position Navigation Equipment, and Inter Vehicle Information System over the M1A1 making it the most situationally aware MBT of its generation. In OIF it swept away Iraqi armoured resistance with near impunity.
The Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams Operation Iraqi Freedom (35269) reproduces the upgraded M1A2 Abrams as deployed by US Army armoured units during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. The M1A2 introduced the Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer, Position Navigation Equipment, and Inter-Vehicle Information System over the M1A1 — making it the most situationally aware MBT of its generation. In OIF it swept away Iraqi armoured resistance with near-impunity.
Tamiya's detailed 1/35 kit captures the M1A2's subtle differences from the M1A1, with desert camouflage and OIF marking options for an authentic combat appearance.
Kit highlights:
- Accurate M1A2 Abrams with CITV sight and updated stowage
- 120mm M256 gun and reactive armour tiles
- Operation Iraqi Freedom desert scheme markings
- Detailed Chobham armour hull and turret surfaces
- Complements Tamiya's other modern US armour subjects
Please note: Cement and paints required, sold separately.
