In this superb work of investigative reporting, Zia Jaffrey pursues the riddle of India's most elusive subculture, the cross-dressing and often-castrated figures known as "hijras" whose very name means neither male nor female. Are the hijras lucky or dangerous? Are they a nurturing community of outcasts or a criminal network that kidnaps and mutilates recruits? Do they number in the thousands or in the millions? As she talks with policemen, a unionizer of eunuchs, and with the hijras themselves, Jaffrey unravels veils of rumor and deception to locate the nature of our sexual and social thresholds, and the people who dwell on them. Deeply resonant, uniquely insightful, The Invisibles is an enthralling work."A magnificent journey. Jaffrey writes about this fascinating and delicate subject with human understanding and warmth."--Ryszard Kapuscinski "Sensitively written...eloquent...and compassionate."--New York Times Book Review

Really nice!
Color: Brown
Nicely made. The wood has a lovely finish and rich color. The compartments have a softer bottom so you don’t have to worry about scratching your glasses or other surfaces. Great assortment of compartment sizes to help organize your items.
Kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

Well-Built, Masculine, Watch and Jewelry Case
Color: Espresso, Color: Espresso
The description here on Amazon is very accurate, but I have to say the quality is beyond what I expected! The material is soft with a nice leather feel to it. And the small details, from the stitching to the hinges to the clasp appears to be very high-quality. It came in a very nice package, and was well protected during shipping. The one thing I really liked about it was that the dividers in some of the compartments are able to be removed, offering a little more versatility as far as storage goes (see pics). The case has a very masculine look to it, which goes with the larger chronographs I have. It also has plenty of space for accessories, such as extra watch bands.
