At the height of their reign in the 12th and 13th centuries, the Staufer family produced several Roman-German kings and emperors, with the most renowned being Duke Frederick I, famously known as Barbarossa for the color of his beard. However, it was his son, Henry VI, who expanded their empire, stretching from the North and Baltic seas all the way to Sicily in southern Italy.
In this game, you travel alongside Henry VI throughout his vast realm, managing your own entourage and attempting to control the balance of power. With each decision, you must use skill and foresight to gain benefits that could ultimately elevate you to the status of an influential prince.
