In 1983, the release of The Proletariat's debut Soma Holiday was a shocker - while American hardcore punk was becoming more generic, The Proletariat unleashed something strikingly original. The album's opening is a call to arms: the primitive, militaristic bass guitar and drums are sliced with razor-sharp guitar dissidence and vocals full of spit and bite. Avant-garde while remaining tuneful, their debut is considered one of the most brilliant albums to come out the early 80's American hardcore scene. The leafy suburbs of Southeastern Massachusetts, midway between Boston and Cape Cod, isn't where you would expect to find one of America's most revolutionary sounding and lyrically incendiary rock 'n' roll bands, but that is where The Proletariat began. In 1980, straight from Apponequet High School, Richard Brown, Peter Bevilacqua, and Frank Michaels began pounding out noise, and soon they added high schooler Tommy McKnight. Inspired by Buzzcocks, The Jam, PiL, and Wire, the young band tapped into the high energy hardcore punk swirling around and infused it with art-punk excitement. By the time that their classic debut hit, The Proletariat were being referred to as "America's Gang of Four" and a more supercharged Pop Group. The intelligent anger of the band was a lifeline to many suburban American rejects, young people who knew that life under Reagan wasn't right. The sound of Soma Holiday not only sounds as fresh as ever, the thoughtful politics of it's lyrics are just as relevant today in a world of drone strikes and Donald Trump, as they were when Oliver North and Leonid Brezhnev were household names.

You are not likely to hear about this in church.....

Spiritual warfare is real. Many are called(the general body of believers). Few are chosen from within the body of believers. Chosen ones must be spiritually trained for such a time as this. (present day, 2025 and forward). When God allows our spiritual eyes to open, we see darkness first, then the light. It's just like waking up in the morning. Jesus Christ is with us thru it all. Psalms 23....
If you, my anointed brother or sister in Christ, are going thru the valley of the shadow...get this book, vet it with the Living Word of God and let The Holy Spirit lead you. Be blessed!

How To Be Enoch In A Few Easy Steps

The title of this book is a tad misleading. Mike certainly does a great job of helping the reader deal with the issue of seeing a lot of dark and negative things when learning to see in the spirit. But that's not all. In this book, Mike includes a lot of other worthwhile steps and exercises to help you see in the spirit in general. In fact, he includes some of this in most of his books, but the repetition necessary. You've got to get the basics down to get it to work.
I think people get in the habit of thinking, "If I just read one more book on using the spiritual senses, it'll finally happen for me." But that's not how it works. To see and hear in the spirit and walk in the spirit realm (literally), you have got to do the basic exercises Mike suggests, and you've got to make it a lifestyle.
In this book, as with pretty much all of Mike's books, he essentially tells you how to be just like Enoch. Enoch didn't have to be the only person in the antediluvian age to have a living relationship with the Lord. Anybody could've had that, in any age, regardless of their background. But they just weren't interested. It was for Enoch just as much as it was for Cain, Saul, and King Manasseh. The Lord wasn't holding out on anybody. Enoch was just the guy who wanted that relationship. Some people think, "If the Lord wants that, he'll show me himself!" But that's baloney. The Lord himself directly spoke to Cain. To the children of Israel at Sinai. To Judas Iscariot. But they all turned away to their own delusions. It all comes back to the same reality: Jehovah isn’t holding out on anyone. He’s fully present, fully available. It’s just that most people, even when told exactly how to wake up, would rather stay dreaming.
Here, Mike provides a toolbox and skillset, with training included, to be like Enoch. But, like Enoch, you've got to choose to follow that path, and not settle. Then, the things that Mike suggests will start working for you. Like all of Mike's mystical teachings on the spiritual life, this one's well worth it. Just stick with it, and don't settle.

Great, easy to understand explanations
