The tequila is left to mature for ten months in used American white oak bourbon barrels. With his expertise, Lustig commissioned his favorite blanco, reposado, and añejo tequila producers to create unique batches exclusively for him, showcasing their mastery of each style. However, this undertaking required a change to Mexico's law, which previously limited a brand to representing only one distillery's product.
