The second 12" off Bosq's sophomore full-length takes on a darker and more aggressive tone, enlisting the help of frequent collaborator Kaleta to get their powerful message across. The A-side features the familiar pairing of Bosq and Benin born & Nigerian raised singer Kaleta (formerly of Fela's Egypt 80) on their heaviest collaboration to date. Kaleta laments the struggle of the common man on the first half of the song before both the music and the lyrics strike back urging a "take over" of those oppressive systems. The incessant rhythm and driving groove laying the perfect foundation, echoing Fela's "Music Is The Weapon Of The Future" mantra. The B-side is another heavy slab of dense percussion and an afrobeat style horn section with a groove that falls somewhere between afro-latin, dancehall, and house. Horn genius Evan Laflamme handles the entirety of the section as well as ripping a Baritone solo that anchors the track in the middle and perfectly walks the line between musicality and groove. The 12" was envisioned and carried out during a time of immense frustration for the very politically minded Bosq and that emotion colors the sound of the record through both tracks.

hot and heavy
Format: Kindle
Although the smart is limited, it is very heavy and extremely well detailed. I loved how the love story blossom and we got to see every aspect, it seems any other book. I’ve read lately. The love story doesn’t get quite an enough detail put in. All in all it was a really nice book to read. A break from the depressing historical fiction. I’ve been reading lately.

Great Story.
Format: Kindle
I thought this book was very entertaining. I found it interesting that the main character, Natalie Keane famous actress had so much trauma since she was a child that continued to build when she was kidnapped that kept her secluded. I liked the other main character, Taylor Vaughn, a bodyguard who also supported her parents who's is so sweet of her. Taylor had physical issues that helped her relate in some way with Natalie. Though their relationship was fake at the beginning as time went on it became more real which both realized they were in love. I liked that the author gave detail descriptions of the main characters. Though I wished it was more in the beginning chapters and not throughout the story. I did like the ending and epilogue. I was a little disappointed there wasn't more. I truly enjoyed reading this. I would recommend this book to everyone that loves a good romance.

Excellent bodyguard story!
Format: Kindle
Anytime Rachel Lacey releases a new book, I drop whatever I'm doing to read it, because I know it'll be a banger. And Cover Story definitely didn't disappoint! Natalie, an A-list actress, is struggling to live without fear after a horrible stalker experience 8 years ago that she can never seen to get past. With news that the man is getting out on parole soon, Natalie hires Taylor, a bodyguard who is also going to pose as her girlfriend. I really loved this story. Both Natalie and Taylor have struggles and fears, and the author did such a tremendous job of making them into full-fledged characters that felt very authentic. Their dynamic as actress and bodyguard, both trying not to fall in love (and failing) was really fun to read. Their chemistry was off the charts hot, as were their spicy scenes! The secondary characters and the Hollywood setting made the story and their lives feel very real, too. I'm going to have to go back and reread Stars Collide now!

Interesting premise
Format: Kindle
At first, I was hesitant. I figured this was one of those abelist nonsense series. But... So far? It has been pretty good. The characters are unique & the art style has an amateur feeling to it.

Starts out bonkers and ramps up from there
Format: Paperback
‘Tank Chair, Vol. 1’ by Manabu Yashiro is a manga about a catatonic assassin who wakes up when his sister finds violent jobs for him. The story takes place in a dystopian setting, where mostly unresponsive Nagi and his partner Shizuka navigate a world filled with danger and intrigue. Every chapter brings a new, deadlier assassin along with new modifications to Nagi’s wheelchair. The first volume introduces the characters and the crazy world. It’s a fast action packed read and the art style is dynamic and expressive. The story starts out bonkers and ramps up from there. I really enjoyed this over the top story.
