Running Back Incantations present Yogtze! A joint venture of musician/producer Daniel Helmer (Mantra Mantra, Gudrun von Laxenburg) and filmmaker from Vienna Daniel Meuzard (Feater, Skymax, Vallay). The duo offers a headstrong trip deep into the tune-in-turn-on-drop-out-mentality of European minds outside of their natural environment. Helmer and Meuzard met around 2005 in Peru where they both participated in an ayahuasca ceremony. After this experience they decided to travel and discover South America together for some weeks. During that journey, the idea of a musical project (Yogtze) was born. Two years and many miles later, Helmer and Meuzard saw Alejandro Jodorowsky's Montana Sacra (The Holy Mountain, 1973) at a small film festival in Paris. The movie inspired them to create a musical composition that reflects it's spirit and atmosphere. In order to do so, they decided to travel Morocco and record music on a small 8-track tape machine at a friend's home studio in Essaouira. "The artistic process felt very natural. All we had to do was to open up to the cosmos and let the music flow through our bodies," said Meuzard. Neither Meuzard nor Helmers intended to release those recordings, since the sessions were more of a personal nature and meant to create a musical experience for themselves. A decade later, their Moroccan friend, who stumbled upon the tapes while cleaning his storage, urged them to release their recordings so everyone could experience the same musical journey as they had back in 2007. "It would be a grand act of selfishness not to share this work of art with others," he told them. Luckily for the world, Helmer and Meuzard decided to finally edit, mix and master the rest of the material in 2018/2019 and named their project Yogtze. Expect a record full of wondrous soundscapes, haunting melodies, and captivating themes that would fit in many categories or definitions and none at the same time. Music from and for memories, tangerine dreams, and chessboards.

Cute shelf set!

quality matches cost + instructions unnecessarily tedious

The material is real wood but don't assume that means quality - it's still very cheap feeling, and very lightweight. But once installed they are quite stable, and they look great from afar. I got a darker colored one and the stain does come off very easily. One of the shelves had a huge manufacturer sticker on it and it took off the stain when I removed it, and a bit of the stain also came off when I wiped the shelves down with a wet cloth. It'll be dry dusting from now on, I suppose.
Also, they did not fit snugly into the corner - when one side is pushed flush to the wall, it forces the other side to pull away from the wall a little bit. It wasn't a drastic space, maybe like 1/8th of an inch, but it is still something to note. I am fine with the cheap quality as they are, after all, pretty cheap, so I'd say they are worth exactly as much as they cost. Personally I am happy with the purchase - just thought I'd warn.
Secondly - if you want to follow the instructions exactly, you will need two people unless you have inhuman agility. But I also think the instructions were a bit asinine and tedious. They want you to line up the LOOSE shelf and brackets with a leveler to mark where the brackets go on the wall, then put in the wall screws, hang the brackets on them, balance the shelf on the brackets to mark on the SHELF where the brackets will be attached, take the brackets off the wall to screw them into the shelf, then put the combined shelf-bracket unit once again on the wall screws and finally screw those in tight.
In hindsight, you can just mark where the brackets should go on the SHELF (not wall), screw the brackets into the shelves, THEN level the shelf on the wall and screw the whole unit into the wall together. We were really baffled why the instructions didn't have us do that instead of spending extra time (and frustration) trying to juggle all the loose pieces and tools. But I'm not engineer-minded, nor have I ever installed corner shelves before, so maybe there would be some kind of issue with doing it that way that I can't predict.

Good shelving decor
Color: Black
Easy to install and perfect for a corner display of Disney decor. They are lightweight, so we didn't put anything heavy on them, but the brackets seem sturdy enough that we could probably put something moderately weighty on them.
