LP version. Essex-based singer songwriter Lucy Kitt presents her debut full-length album, Stand By, on Wineberry Records. A beautifully crafted self-penned gem, the album draws influence from the golden age of songwriting emanating from Laurel Canyon in the late '60s/early '70s. Stand By was recorded at London's Soup Studios and features contributions from Sam Beer, Dave Holmes, and Pat Kenneally. From the age of 16 she formed a riot girl grunge band Ostara with her cousin and two friends. Performing around the gritty nightclubs and bars of the East end of London is where Lucy found her love of playing live. During her university days in Canterbury, Lucy started developing her song writing and soon became a feature on the local music scene. Strongly influenced by '70s folk rock albums she heard growing up: artists like Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young, Lucy writings are honest, and heartfelt accounts of her personal experiences during this poignant chapter of her life. Propelled by her semi-finalist status at the 2006 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk awards, the live music scene beckoned, and Lucy has supported a host of musical talent ever since, including Cara Dillon, Turin Brakes, The Unthanks, Pete Mollinari, and Nick Mulvey. Major UK festival slots have included Cambridge Folk Festival, The Isle of Wight Festival, Secret Garden Party, and Lounge on the Farm, and Red Rooster Festival. Having won the 2014 Gibson/Sundance song writing competition, Lucy's songs have been placed firmly on the musical map. She has played gigs around the world, including Northern California, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and Germany. The hugely successful internet sessions recorded for "Mahogany", "Balcony TV", and "On't Sofa", provides a pathway for the world to discover Lucy's beautiful, vibrant, self-penned lyrics. 90,000 Soundcloud listeners eagerly await her debut album - she is now in the position where all this hard work could really start to shine.

Easy install
Just installed in our bathroom. Feels solid. We have a potted plant on it now. You will want a drill bit extender to clear the shelf. I use the flexible type. Otherwise you won’t be able to get the screws in at a 90 degree angle.

Very nice, well made.
The nine-inch oak shelf is well made, and is 45 degrees. The wall where I planned to install it was not, and I suspect this is the problem some of the reviews saying the shelf was not made at 45 degrees. In my case, we removed wood a bit at a time until we achieved a good fit. We did receive all of the hardware, but beware. The plastic straight insert anchors do not snug up with the supplied screws. However we used the supplied plastic toggles with better results. The hardware is why I rate this 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a nice piece, and well worth the price.

Pieces missing, poor instructions, would not buy again!
Let's start with the good news: I did, eventually, get the shelves hung after a trip to the hardware store and some trial and error.
Now for the bad news:
* One of the screws holding the brace to the shelf was missing, making the shelf wobbly before I even hung it.
* The directions for hanging the shelves show a different anchor than the one that comes packaged with them. This anchor will ONLY work in sturdy drywall and it's going to leave a huge hole behind.
* The directions tell you to flip the shelf upside-down to position and mark the screw holes, BUT that means the sides of the shelf are reversed, and the hole positions do not match on each side. So if you start hammering or drilling based on those marks, they don't align and now you have extra holes in your wall.
Honestly, I regret buying these and wish I'd just chosen a free-standing shelf instead. But I made it work for me, so I guess there's that.
