Contains 'An Actor's Death', pages 360-367, pirated from The Pickwick Papers. It originally appeared in Part II of the novel, issued in April 1836, under the title 'The Stroller's Tale'. Other contributors to The Library of Romance include Strickland, Leigh Hunt, Goethe - 'The Skeleton Dance' and 'The Erl-King', Bulwer - 'A manuscript found in a mad-house', and Mary Shelley -the supernatural short story 'Transformation' etc.  Includes Gothic, Ghost and Terror.

Original cloth in fair condition.  Stains to cloth.  Bumped and worn spine ends.  Corners bumped.  Blind stamps to cloth.  Gilt lettering to spine.  Foxing to page edges and into margins to few leaves through book.  Firm text.  Few creased rear base leaves.

I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".
