In these fifty-two interviews, the greatest songwriters of our time go straight to the source of the magic of songwriting by offering their thoughts, feelings, and opinions on their art. Representing almost every genre of popular music, from folk to Tin Pan Alley to jazz, from blues to pop rock, these are the figures who have shaped American music as we know it. Here they share their secrets and personal methods for converting inspiration into song: Robbie Robertson of the Band an Tom Petty talk about working with Bob Dylan; Dylan himself, in his only in-depth interview in more than ten years, says that the world doesn't need any new songs; R.E.M. name their favorite R.E.M. songs; Madonna describes collaborating with Prince; Sammy Cahn talks about writing standards for Sinatra; Pete Seeger recounts hitting the road with Woody Guthrie; Frank Zappa admits to loving "Louie Louie"; Todd Rundgren explains how he dreams his songs; and, in the book's most extensive interview, Paul Simon delves into his opus from "The Sound of Silence" to "Graceland." And almost all of them express delight at being able to talk about the mechanics of music itself, something that they have rarely been asked to discuss. Here expanded with new interviews with Burt Bacharach, Laura Nyro, Yoko Ono, Leonard Cohen, Graham Nash, Jackson Browne, Richard Thompson, and many others, Songwriters on Songwriting is a rare volume: one of the best books on the craft of musicmaking, an informative source for musicians and songwriters, and an invaluable historical record of the popular music of this century.Binding Type: Paperback

My daughters dog, Doug , loves this toy….. I have bought 3 of these in the past 12 months!
Though he will destroy it, he chews and plays with it until there is almost nothing left!!!

Emotional Support Lizard
Size: 15 Inch
This was my Goldendoodle puppy's first toy, and a year later, it's still his favorite. It was light enough for him to play with it at 9 pounds, but big enough that he still loves it at 40 pounds. He carries it around, slaps his brother with it, throws it and chases it, sleeps with it, etc. He enjoys his stuffies also, but he returns to this one repeatedly through the day, so I know he loves it. It's a bit discolored, but still fully intact. If you have a dog with a soft mouth who isn't prone to chewing, this toy is perfect. I've purchased extras to keep in the emergency supplies in both the house and the car.

Not for puppies or dogs who enjoy chewing toys.
Size: 25 Inch
NOT FOR PUPPIES OR CHEWERS! If you have a dog that is teething or enjoys chewing on toys for soothing this is not the toy to buy. My 4 month old ate the sneak head off and the inside plastic ball squeaker was exposed and fell out and my puppy swallowed it. I tried to take it away from him but it was too late .. he already swallowed it. This caused serious vomiting days later in my pup. I’m not likely to leave negative reviews unless I truly have a horrific experience and this toy provided just that. 0 stars.

Good for kittens & cats too!
Size: 15 Inch
Bought this for our new kitten, 5 months old, and didn't know if it was a good purchase or not. He loves it! He can chew on it, drag it around the house, interact with us too. And he hasn't lost or destroyed it. The only disappointment is the head squeaker stop working. The placard stated it would work even if bit. Not a big deal, though; kitten doesn't like the squeak. LOL

My dog's favorite toy, but
Size: 15 Inch
My dog loves his "lizzie" but the quality has gone down. The leather is thinner and easily torn, exposing the squeaker which becomes a swallowing hazard. Of course, no squeaker and half the fun is gone. For $10, I won't be buying any more of these. Sorry about that my furry friend.
