Judge Anthony Alaimo's life is a metaphor for quintessential American values: courage, hard work, patriotism, compassion. This biography does not dwell in the realm of metaphorical; it plunges us into the day-to-day life of an immigrant family struggling in the depths of the Depression to become Americans, of an immigrant son putting his every dream on hold to pursue a greater passion: love of country. It carries us into the madness of air warfare, the horror of a screaming crash into the frigid North Sea, the terrible realization and burden of living with the knowledge that you survived when everyone else died. The son of illiterate, but deeply religious Sicilian immigrants, US District Court Judge Anthony Alaimo shined shoes and cut hair in Jamestown, New York, to pay for his college education. (He was the Golden Gloves boxer attending the quiet Methodist College.) As a POW, he participated in the world-famous Great Escape, and later broke out on his own, making his way through German lines into Switzerland. A mother's love, religious faith, and ferocious patriotism transform an impoverished immigrant boy into one of the Greatest Generation heroes. This book takes us inside the incandescent life and tumultuous times of Judge Anthony Alaimo, WWII bomber pilot, POW, and indomitable escape artist, whose fidelity to the law is equaled by his compassion and outrage at injustice.Binding Type: Hardcover

Brilliant design and features.
Color: Black
Far better than yesteryears models. Very powerful with a lot of cork torque! The long USB cord is a HUGE plus to reach distant outlets. Charging base is another big plus. Don't forget to see the video of the girl who is promoting it but cannot figure out how to use it!! Hilarious.

Best Wine Opener We’ve Tried
Color: Black
My husband and I like to think of ourselves as wine connoisseurs, and over the years we’ve been through dozens of wine openers. So far, this one is our favorite. It’s pure magic—smooth, easy, and reliable every time. The charging base keeps everything organized. We’ve been using it for several months now without a single issue. It feels well-made and has definitely earned a permanent spot on our counter. It works so seamlessly that now we both want to open the wine.

Great gift for any wine lover!
My sister and I went in on this gift together for my mom for Christmas. We got it on a lightning deal for a lot cheaper than the normal price and were a little sketched out by it. But when we got the package and my mom opened the gift and used it, we all found it's very sturdy. Looks nice in her kitchen and is a talking piece when family or friends visit. It's really easy to use and has a nice feel to it. Great wine opener, great gift for any wine lover!

Attractive.. Works Well.. Good Quality
I must like this Item, I have now bought 4 of them, One for myself & 3 as a Gift.
I actually Returned the 1st One because I thought 🤔 it wasn't charging properly.
Received a Replacement.
The initial 12 hr charge period doesn't fully charge unit, it eventually fully Charges.
I like this product alot, small Foot Print, attractive and good Quality...
Works efficiently and I like the extras, Stoppers, Pump and Aerator.
Now how long the Battery lasts to be determined...
