Libec TH-Z2 Video Tripod & ALX S4 Slider System: The Ultimate Compact Camera Motion Kit

For modern on-the-go videographers, independent filmmakers, and event shooters, gear mobility is everything. However, traveling light shouldn't mean sacrificing the cinematic quality of your shots. The Libec TH-Z2 Video Tripod System with the ALX S4 Slider provides the perfect middle ground—a ultra-portable, modular camera support package designed to deliver flawless tracking, panning, and tilting movements without the weight of traditional multi-gear setups.

By combining Libec's robust TH-Z2 dual-base video tripod with the ultra-compact ALX S4 linear slider, this highly efficient production kit gives creators the freedom to transition from static tripod framing to smooth slider shots in less than a minute.

The Versatility of the Libec Dual-Head System

The magic of this hybrid system lies in the innovative Libec TH-Z H fluid head. Traditional video heads force you to choose between a ball base for your tripod or a flat base for your slider. Libec eliminates this restriction with its genius Dual-Head specification, featuring a 75mm half-ball base with a flat bottom.

  • On the Tripod Legs: Drop the 75mm half-ball straight into the TH-Z2 tripod bowl for instant, traditional leveling.

  • On the Slider Carriage: Remove the bowl clamp to reveal the integrated 3/8"-16 flat-mount threads. This allows you to screw the fluid head directly onto the ALX S4 slider carriage, giving you full pan-and-tilt control over your camera as it glides down the track.

ALX S4 Slider: Ultra-Compact, Wobble-Free Tracking

The Libec ALX S4 is a highly compact 15.7-inch (400mm) camera slider that delivers a precise 11.8 inches (300mm) of linear travel distance. Optimized for short, cinematic perspective shifts and tight macro movements, it is the ideal slider for run-and-gun shooting.

What sets the ALX S4 apart from basic linear rails is its sophisticated rolling mechanism. It features eight high-performance ball bearings strategically angled along the top and sides of the aluminum rail. These bearings hug the track tightly, eliminating micro-wobble or loose play during a slide.

  • Friction & Drag Control: A built-in, spring-loaded friction knob allows you to adjust the carriage tension based on the weight of your camera rig.

  • Instant Safety Brake: A separate brake knob securely locks the carriage in place for safe transit or stationary shooting.

  • Stand-Alone Tabletop Mode: The slider features collapsible legs with height-adjustable feet to tackle uneven surfaces. When used on a flat tabletop or floor, the standalone rail can support a massive 33 lb (15 kg) payload capacity.

TH-Z2 Tripod Legs: Lightweight, Anti-Twist Rigidity

When paired together, the tripod acts as an unyielding foundation for your camera movements. The Libec TH-Z2 video tripod legs feature a 2-stage aluminum construction that yields a wide working height range from 28.7 to 64.2 inches (73 to 163 cm).

To maximize structural stability when supporting the side-to-side weight shifts of a slider, the tripod includes an integrated, telescopic mid-level spreader. This prevents the legs from twisting or buckling mid-take. Upgraded rubber feet ensure the tripod stays firmly planted on smooth surfaces like studio floors or polished concrete.

Effortless Workflows & Quick-Release Action

Time on set is money, and the TH-Z2/ALX S4 kit is built for speed. The fluid head utilizes a one-touch snap-in quick-release camera plate system. Compatible with industry-standard Manfrotto and Sachtler heads, you can mount or detach your camera package instantly. The plate features a sliding range of +/- 1.2 inches (+/- 30mm), allowing you to perfectly balance front-heavy lenses or mirrorless camera rigs.

To assist with leveling in low-light environments, the fluid head features an illuminated bubble level, ensuring your horizons remain perfectly level throughout production.

Rigid Production Build Built for Travel

Despite its multifaceted functionality, the complete system maintains an incredibly light physical profile. The fluid head and tripod combination easily supports a payload capacity of 11 lbs (5 kg), making it suitable for mirrorless cameras and lenses, compact digital cinema setups (like the Sony FX3, Canon C70, or Blackmagic Pocket series), and fully kitted mobile rigs.

Because of the shorter 400mm rail length of the ALX S4, the entire system packs away effortlessly into the included Libec RC-10 padded carrying case. This protective nylon bag keeps your tripod, fluid head, slider, and accessories neatly corralled during travel.

Key Technical Specifications:

Angels and the Fallen — Breathtaking Start
Format: Kindle
This book was EVERYTHING I expected it to be and more. Leave to R.L. Caulder and M. Sinclair to give us yet another amazing book! Kieran and her guys hooked me from the very beginning and did not let go. Found family is one of my favorite tropes and it was done so well in this book. Couple that along with an FMC trying to find her place in the world and I was practically drooling over this book. The world building, the conflict, the wyverin sidekick — it all was done so well that it felt fresh and real. Each love interest felt real and unique in their own ways. I felt connected to each one and like they were truly different people. I love that so much in a book and these two authors never miss with their love interests. Multi POV, Reverse harem, who did this to you, and a magical world highlighting the angels and the fallen. This book has everything and it does it so well. Big thank you to R.L. Caulder and M. Sinclair for the arc copy! I cannot wait for book 2!

A new take 🤔
Format: Kindle
I’m not going to go into what this book is about — by now you e already read the synopsis and have an idea — but I will give a couple of insights. Definitely a different take on angels and their fall; I like it. This is an interesting start to a new series - YES, this does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. I’m eager for the next book (and hopefully the last in this series — sometimes the author(s) will switch it up depending on how the story flows for them) in this series. I’m hoping that a certain male character redeems himself because he’s a dick that will make the meaning of mixed signals jealous lol. You ever watch that old movie — I think it’s call Mommy Dearest? — yea, let’s switch that up to daddy. That man would make a perfect husband to mommy dearest. I recommend this book because while these authors are well known for their cliffhangers, they are also well known for putting out good stories.

Liked it
Format: Kindle
I liked the worlds and the characters. The prophesy is confusing in that I would think, since all worlds ore on a path to destruction, the angels would want their world to be saved. I am sure there is more evil that will be revealed as the series proceeds. I dislike a prolonged “poor little me” trope and the main character has moved past that, thankfully, and began to show a fierce attitude as the novel progressed. The last portion of the novel had some great action. It’s worth reading, just be patient with a slow start.

Unexpectedly emotional and packed with action!
Format: Kindle
Why do I suddenly want nothing more than a tiny wyvern to snuggle with?! It’s adorable and I absolutely love all of those moments! Wings of Stars was everything I’ve come expect from this powerful author duo. The fact that it’s written by two different people is completely transparent to the reader and they’ve brought us another world and characters that we’re all emotionally connected to and fully invested in! The injustice that we see from Alfemir in the many forms in which it comes is infuriating and makes me desperate for the conclusion of the story so they can all get what’s coming to them! I love all the guys right now, with one exception, and if you’re read it, you know exactly who I’m talking about. Bastian is hilarious - he was the comedic relief through an otherwise quite serious story. My heart bleeds for him and I can’t wait to see how he progresses through the series. Parts of Wings of Stars were unexpectedly emotional and of course I was left with my jaw on the floor at that cliffhanger! Next, please!

Niz !!!
Format: Kindle
First, let me say that I love both of these authors. I have been hooked by both ever since I discovered their writings, and I follow their social media groups closely. This book did not disappoint. Sure, there are several questions that I have, a couple of times I went huh (which I won't get into because I do not want to offer any spoilers) and I hated the cliff hanger lol, but I cannot lie and say I didn't love the book, because I did. The twist on angels was new and fresh, even though that is part of my questions. The beginning and ending were the better parts, the middle was needed but sorta bogged a little. Kieran was confusing but relatable. Niz is BY FAR the best character of the book, love NIZ. For me, Bastian is a close second, always loved the crazy ones. The other men were good, but Steele gets on my nerves and as of right now, IMO, he doesn't belong, but we will see how that goes. I have lots of questions, but this was an excellent start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next book. Highly recommend
