Its inverted top makes for more filter surface area, resulting in longer service intervals.Unique One-Piece Housing:The smooth one-piece sealed housing, constructed of heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), features our patented/patent-pending filter-to-housing interface. Its innovative design minimizes the total number of parts, making for an easy installation. A clear round sight window, resembling the VW logo, allows for hassle-free filter inspection without having to disassemble your system. The housing incorporates the OE air inlet and features an additional auxiliary air inlet that can be plugged if desired.Dyno-Tuned Intake Tube:This system features a high quality, computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. The color is pretty true to the image, it comes in great packaging and honestly because it’s so nice I still haven’t used mine yet… it’s legit just sitting on my desk in its box and I plan on getting 2 more as gifts for friends. (However I have to test the whisk first and I kinda wish it came with a matcha canister)
