The Mind of the Trout: A Cognitive Ecology for Biologists and AnglersHow and why do trout think? How do they decide where to eat and which food to eat? How and why do trout think? How do they decide where to eat and which food to eat? Why do they refuse to behave as predicted, stumping anglers by rejecting a larger fly for a smaller one or not responding at all to anything in an angler's box? How do trout know to bolt to one particular covered area after being hooked or flushed? Why can trout smell better than humans but not remember as well? Citing the most recent scientific findings in a readily understandable form, Thomas C. Grubb, Jr. addresses these questions and more in The Mind of the Trout. It is the first book to bring together many varied concepts of cognitive ecology as applied to trout and their salmonid relatives: char, salmon, grayling, and whitefish.Binding Type: Paperback

Stay put!
Number of Items: 3, Color: White/Neutral (3-pairs), Size: Medium
Nice and thin, soft, and stay put. I wear an 8 shoe and don’t like a thick sock taking up room. These socks are a bit tight on big toe. Wish they came in large.

The best
Number of Items: 3, Color: White/Neutral (3-pairs), Size: Medium
The best no show socks I have found. Stay in place very well and hold up wash after wash. I have tossed all the other brands I’ve bought over the years and stocked up on these as I was tired of digging through the drawer hoping to find a clean pair.

Love these.
Number of Items: 3, Color: White (3-pairs), Size: Medium
I have them in black and white. I use them everyday in all shoes. These are very versatile and a great quality material. They take a looong time to wear and they stay in place. Very washable and good material. They are not too thick and they do not shrink. I do air dry mine. They do not hold smells even in the summer heat.

My new favorite socks! True to size, fit perfectly, and the best part is they do not slide off your foot! 10/10 recommend!

The perfect sock!
Size: 6-10, Color: Halo Gray/Assorted
The only socks that I can wear with my hey dudes. They stay on my ankles and never slid down into the shoe. I will forever order these as long as they are available. They are comfy too!
