Do I need a base station to use the Crystal Light?

  • No, base stations are not required. The Crystal Light uses inside-out tracking with four front-facing cameras.
  • However, for the best VR experience, users can purchase a Lighthouse faceplate and base stations for 6DoF tracking.

Can I switch between inside-out and Lighthouse tracking?

Yes, you can use inside-out tracking by default, and later upgrade to Lighthouse tracking by purchasing the Lighthouse faceplate and SteamVR base stations.

What happens if I miss a monthly subscription payment?

If a payment is missed, Pimax Play software will stop functioning until the payment is completed.

Can I sell the headset if I’m still paying monthly?

Yes, but the subscription is tied to the headset and does not reset upon resale.

Does my warranty start from the date of purchase or receipt?
