This is instinct, devotion, a lifetime of knowledge passed down through generations. Rising every day at five a.m., she steps onto the land that has shaped her life long before the sun ascends. By six, she is already at work, nurturing the paddies that in turn sustain her.
This is Diligence II—the first photograph that embodied the very essence of the word.
